Is it possible to either import your outlook contacts or integrate with your contacts?
It would be great when going to make calls that it could integrate with your outlook contacts. thank you,
This should have been a standard integration from the beginning. Who want's to manage contacts on multiple platforms let alone different MICROSOFT products!!!
still can't believe that Outlook contacts are not integrated. Hey - we are all coming from an Outlook based working technique. So who has NOT a lot of contacts there.
We working with the phone system in Teams as well - so it is not acceptable that this main feature is not available
As a business user I foud this missing feature is NOT acceptable. So MS please stop rolling out many fancy features before getting the essentials done.
Not having clickable/drop & drag access to Outlook contacts from Teams is insane.
Not being able to create a Team from ANY list of contacts in Outlook is insane.
Not being able to rename guests and having them show only by their email addresses is rude is insane.
Teams is a terribly conceived, cumbersome behemoth, that is not intuitive at all and not efficient for a small business user.

What could be more logical than integrating your Outlook contacts into Teams meetings with the click of a mouse? Are we on two Microsoft planets? I don't understand it.
Please make it possible to use Outlook contacts easily in Teams. I use teams primarily for external communication.

I am testing a roll out of Poly CCX 600 Business Media Phone with the Teams Integration. The sync/uploading of contacts to Teams from Outlook/Exchange is a must for a medium to large contact database. At the moment it is not a solution I could support/suggest to my customers.
This is an odd problem. It partially works sometimes. For companies without a personal contact in Outlook (e.g., utilities, the local pizza delivery company), for example, they just appear "Name not available," which makes it impossible to find the relevant contact to make a call.
I think this is more of a bug report than a feature request: Improve the syncing between Outlook contacts (when stored in Exchange) so that they instantly and seamlessly sync with Teams for telephony support and ensure that the File As name always appears visibly in Teams for sorting and searching (Company name or Person name).

This is a crucial requirement for using Teams. I support this request

Unbelievable that this doesn't work after I've spent $$$ upgrading my phone service and MS licenses just for this functionality. About 2/3 of my contacts sync over, many display differently, can't figure out why one does and another doesn't. (It's not the Company and Phone Number fields.) It looks like Teams is intended only for internal collaboration, and regular phone functionality is an afterthought. It ain't the "one integrated solution" MS promotes.

Agree with the consensus of these comments. Can't believe email address contacts don't sync across. Not convenient when trying to invite someone to a meeting that is in outlook contacts to have to go and find and copy and paste their email address. (Yes, phone contacts sync but not email addresses for inviting external attendees Murray Elliot). I thought this must be something that was just not working for us! Crazy it's not a function of the software.
I see that if you copy your contacts into your outlook contacts folder, SOME of them will show up in teams contacts (it takes a while to sync). After reviewing this with a microsoft tech support guy, we found that the criteria Microsoft uses to determine weather or not the sync occurs is dependant upon both the COMPANY field and the PHONE NUMBER field being filled in. This is a start.. MICROSOFT, IF YOU ARE PAYING ATTENTION TO ALL OF THE ******** GOING ON HERE, PLEASE BE AWARE THAT WE WANT ALL CONTACTS TO BE VISIBLE IN BOTH OUTLOOK AND TEAMS REGARDLESS OF WHAT FIELDS ARE FILLED IN!!!!!

I cant believe you cant import your contacts from outlook into Teams! That's just nuts!
Forget import the contacts should be synchronised with Outlook full stop.
This is so fundamental that it is hard to understand how the product could have been launched without it.
Who do the developers imagine that we are calling if they are not Outlook contacts.
Furthermore, they should be listed in accordance with the "file as" field in Outlook. They should optionally be sortable by first or last or company name.
If Teams is unable to pull contracts from outlook, we are being forced to switch back to GoToMeeting and it pulls from my contacts list. Seem like a MAJOR issue that should have been there since 'DAY 1'.
Important for me too.
Calling with Teams feels like at my Grannys Home. Writing the Number down - prior to dialing

We have office365 A3 subscription, and contacts in Outlook do already Sync to Teams. under what circumstances does this not work?
All the time they say: everything is integrated - use office 365 that's the way. But don't use the contacts from outlook contact groups in teams??
That means: YES, please integrate your software and let us use it seamlessly.
(And let us start chats and calls directly from outlook for haven's sake.)
