Channel moderators and owners can delete unwanted conversation traffic on a channel
As a channel owner, it would be very useful to be able to delete unwanted conversation traffic from a channel and to designate one or moderators to be able to manage conversation traffic - approve posts or remove unwanted posts

As others may have noticed, team owners can already delete messages if enabled tenant-wide - see https://microsoftteams.uservoice.com/forums/555103-public/suggestions/19492525-owners-admins-need-ability-to-delete-messages-of-o
Ich would love the idea of a channel moderator and would like to add one more function: The possibility of moving entries. Why? In some cases users want to reply on a conversation but instead of replying they open a new discussion. The comment may be very helpful and should not be deleted or edited, but a moderator (or the user self) should be able to move the entry elsewhere - just in channels - NOT in chat.

I can't understand why Teams was even released without this essential functionality, let alone why Microsoft has (as of this moment) failed to respond to the outcry here or in numerous other posts asking for the same thing.
critical to basic usage, already is a problem and will clutter and limit usefulness if not handled soon

We are looking to deploy to retail stores and want to control the group so the stores cannot accidentally communicate with head office end users.

I see this all the time, people posting in the wrong place, emailing to the wrong channel.
Your channel subject is all about CATs, and Bang.. it has a large Email post about getting a discount on Car insurance. Then you have people Replying to the posting asking.. "Should this be here?" or "Wrong Subject man!!" as a owner I can't remove any of it. :(

YES, this is a great idea.
Yes, I can see how this would be beneficial.

Being an owner of the team, must be able to clean up channels by either archiving or deleting conversations
Option to Delete Email posting that should not be posted.
Such as spam or emailed to the wrong team

Yes, as the owner of a Team, I'd like to be able to clean up channels by either archiving or deleting conversations that are old or no longer relevant.

It is impossible to use Channels for many use cases without ability to Moderate the traffic and organize according to a specific recurring cycle. For example, we want to support a monthly change management cycle of change request posting, reviews, discussions and approval/rejections. Once that cycle is complete for a specific Conversation, it needs to be archived. Without moderation features, we cannot use the Teams app effectively for this purpose.
