Migrating Skype users to Teams
By design, all of my colleagues are already in my Teams' network. However, only very view of them have actually installed the app and is using it as their primary office communicator. Currently, when I send messages to a colleague that has not actually started using Teams, there is no indication that this user will not receive my message. An email will then be sent to the user sharing that a message has been sent to them on Teams and they should download and install the app.
However, what might be more beneficial to the users is to have the Teams Chat function and Skype integrated so that they can they can freely be communicated between the two. And then if a Teams user messages a skype user, there will a notification telling the Teams user that their contact is still on skype, and asking whether the Teams user would like to send the skype user an invite (whether via he same chatroom or via an email). Vice versa, the skype user should automatically see a message in the window saying something along the lines of, 'This message was sent to you via Teams, download and install the teams app now to experience our new office communication tool!'
