Unintuitive Award - Microsoft Teams
Something very basic seems to be missing from Microsoft Teams. From searching for "Teams" (I guess this is the highest level of organization) to a separate Chat navigation item, I feel like i'm in a Smörgåsbord of features and capabilities without any logical order or user experience. The greatest weakness of Teams is how brand new user begins using it in some beneficial way. Consider a study of some users who have never used Teams and see where they struggle to get the basic flow and logic of this application.
For a casual user it is utterly dire.....
Document has 7 pages and I only want to print 5
There seems to be no way to tell how many pages there are so, I can ask it to print 2-7 (let's say) Seems impossible to do this. It says "eg 1-5, 8, 11-13" BUT when I type 2- anything, it says “out of range” How many others swear all the tie when using this software?
You can choose to print portrait or landscape as long as you don't mind them both being exactly the same : (
It certainly has deservedly wins the Most Unintuitive Award !
The preview shows portrait even when landscape is chosen.
Then, when I decided to actually print, the text was so faint I couldn't read it and my printer works just fine with anything else.
I totally agree !I've been using computers for 30 years and this is the most unintuitive software I have ever used. It appears to have been designed by a totally clueless novice.
I'm certain my 6 year old could have done considerably better..
Is there any chance this might EVER be user friendly?
Microsoft needs to hire actual programmers that understand what people want instead of hiring number crunchers, aspies, and art degree students.
I get sent a notification that I was added to a group, but I click the link and poof nothing. Can I speak with the people in that group? No. Can I select what sub-groups I want to be in? No. Can I even find the group on Microsoft Teams to manually join in since the auto-notification-invitation doesn't work? No.
What is the point of this notification system if I can't even do anything with it? I'm not even gonna go into Office 365s overall billing system.
Totally agree. I have 3 laptops (don't ask) 40years using many applications, some with very complex interfaces, but none as lacking this. My daughter's primary school uses it now that we're in the pandemic and I find it totally incomprehensible to a fault.
I'm new to Teams and it is completely unintuitive. For example, group chat: Add a tag to a team. Add users to the tag. Go back in to tags - a new sub-windows will open. From there, expand the tags to see the people, then click chat with group... I mean come on! You should right-click the team and have "Group Chat" right from there. What else is the purpose? Microsoft needs someone with business sense leading these projects, not a bunch of low-salary kids right out of school creating business applications.
