link to onenote section group
Set Teams Tab to link to OneNote Section Group or Section within Section Group
With the new OneNote tab link functionality in Teams we are able to link to a conventional Section (one that is not part of a Section Group) but when we try to use a link to a Section Group or a Section in a Section Group the result is that the main page of the OneNote notebook is displayed. We should be able to use the link for any Section or Section Group from OneNote to set up a Tab in a Teams Channel.

Linking a Group section to teams doesn’t work. It takes you someone else in the notebook. Please give the option to do this.

Has this bug been logged? It still doesn't work and 18 months have passed since it was reported. I am experiencing the same issue. Should I be reporting this elsewhere so that it can be addressed as a bug?

I'm experiencing this same issue when I try to add a link directly to a notebook section in Planner also.

For developed teams this is a huge need. It is very aggravating to have to renavigate through a Notebook each time you go to a Tab in Teams. We need the efficiency of being able to make a section "stick" to a tab on a Teams channel for the tool to be an enterprise solution.

It's possible to link sections into a onenote but it's not possible to link section groups into a onenote.
A feature To be able to link Section groups should be very good to have -

This is a bug. We have Teams with linked OneNote sections and pages that were working as of a few weeks ago, but if you attempt to link to a specific section or page now, it only goes to the first page in the entire notebook. Because it was working at one time, this appears to be a bug and not missing functionality.
