Automatic mute system notifications, outlook notifications, etc. when on a Teams meeting.
I would love a way to manually, or automatically mute other system notifications and sounds when on a Teams meeting. I use the sounds when working, but when using the Teams meeting functionality via the PC mic and speakers, everyone can hear my notifications and it is annoying, especially while presenting.

Can someone do something about it? It should disable notification automatically while on call/meeting/etc. I don't understand why it isn't done like that.

This is an accessibility issue.
Muting notification sounds for a speaker in a Teams meeting or Live Event should be default behavior.
The constant pinging sounds distract and increase cognitive load for the listener. This is merely annoying for some, but it can decrease the ability for some people with learning differences to participate.

What about using the focus assist and the Teams notifications settings? Setting focus assist to "alarms only" and Teams to "Do not disturb".

100% annoying and distracting

Chat notifications disturb me while I'm on a call in Teams. Notifications should be automatically muted when the user is on an active call. At the very least, there should be an option to mute them conditionally.

100% - this is incredibly annoying and distracting to everyone on the call. This should have been a feature from the beginning.

Yes! Honestly, this is pretty bad. During a teams meeting, my only option was to open each noisy channel and mute them individually. Then I had a bunch of missed communications the next day because a couple of my channels were left muted! A global "DND" during a meeting (at LEAST having the option) would be greatly appreciated.

good grief. Why hasn't this been solved by now? Super annoying, Teams already knows I'm in a meeting through the calendar. So far my chat notifications have all been professional and nothing personal, but the day someone sends me something dicey I'll be back here vote a couple more times.
