I'm missing some chat history
I have a chat with 2 colleagues. I saw some messages from one colleague in our chat on my Android phone on my way to work. When I got to work and started Teams for Windows 10 I started chatting with my colleague again, but I was missing a big chunk of the conversation history. Any idea what might be going on? It’s a real bummer not knowing if I’m missing messages. Especially weird that I saw it in one client (Android) but not the other (Windows 10).

Actually, I found that by signing out on the desktop and signing back in again, the chat history re-appeared (Not a restart - click on your profile on the top right, then 'Sign out'. You will be prompted to enter credentials again). Doing the same on the web also worked which is strange, but I had been logged on to the account for a few days without closing the browser. Still a bad bug, but this is worth trying in the meantime....

Happening to me also - chat history for one of my Teams is gone in Win10 desktop client. Still visible in the Android app. Tried the Web and its gone there also!!! It's a bug pure and simple, and it needs to be fixed!

I have experienced the same issue macOS desktop client not showing all posts. I only know this as I happen to also use iOS which sees more posts but say I didn’t ... a really poor experience, I would even suggest infact unacceptable
Will try forcibly logging off and back on with desktop client.
Just started experiencing the same thing. Some chat history remains for some teams, some is gone. I tried both desktop and web and it's missing in both of those. Pull it up on the phone and it's all there.
Same issue here. I had the history on my desktop, but now it disappeared.
The history is still available in the phone app.
Tried to restart the computer, but history is still missing.
i have the same issues, chat is not visible on desktop version, but its work on my adroid phone
Just rolled out Teams in our organization replacing Slack. I am disappointed so many people are experiencing the same issue.
Please get this fixed!

Had users report this as well. The message history segment was present on their phone app, but not on their desktop app, and they didn't get a mobile notification because they were active on their computer at the time. When I had them quit and restart Teams on their computer, the missing messages appeared in the history.
I have the same problem and a lot of my customers also. This needs to be solved as soon as possible!! It is also that I can start a new conversation and the other person is replying but I cannot see it.... I do not want to use my email or Skype to be able to have a private conversation.

Thread about this issue:
Confirmed here too. Messages are perfectly synchronized between Teams in browser, macOS app, iOS app and Win7 app. But in Teams for Win10 I'm missing messages regularly.
This is a bug, that i am also facing . android receives something overnight that wont appear on the windows client ..
I'm having the same problem with my iPhone. If I post a message on my iPhone and get a response. Then I go to my desktop, the message that was posted to my iPhone (from a colleague) doesn't show on my desktop. There doesn't seem to be any way to refresh the chat on my desktop so I can see what happened on my phone.
Similar Issue. Message was on mobile app, and I could see the message preview for it. But it was not in the Conversation on my desktop app. I signed out, and signed back in and it populated.
I have found the same thing, messages sent from my Android phone are not reflected in the chat windows in Windows 10.
The resolution for me is to log out of the Windows 10 client and log back in, these resolves the missing messages.
It's only started appearing recently, so perhaps a recent update to either the Android or Windows app that is causing the problem?
