Guests should be able to send files in private chats
Guest can send files/images inside channels but not inside private chats. Without that feature the communication with external developers or testers is almost not possible or had to be done inside a channel, which would disturb other team members.

Thank you for your continued feedback. The feature team has this item under review and is considering all options. We will share an update as soon as one is available.

Come on guys, this is really important function and really weird restriction! For example, Guest can send screenshot but cannot send other files? Why?

We are trying to use the free version of Teams but we can not attach or upload files to chats. This message pops up "Sorry, you need OneDrive for Business to share files
See your admin about getting a license." Any idea what to to? -

Please let guest user to upload files in Teams chat, it's so weird that we paid for Teams and our guest user cannot upload or attach files in Teams chat in private or group chat.
Due to this limited feature I had to go back to the free Teams version instead. Cos the FREE Teams version lets everyone uploads files in Teams chat in both private and group chat.
Please fix this soon MS Teams team.

We have tested Teams with the free version and liked Teams very much.
But after migrated to the paid version we found out that it's not possible for Guest user to attach file to private chat or group chat. We had to ***** the paid version and returned back to the free Teams version just because of this.As I can see, this request has been for over two years without news. Can you please update with news please?

This is absolutely necessary for our organisation as we have offices in Hong Kong and Germany with different office 365 tenants and we need to to exchange files both ways.

We now have to use work-arounds instead.

Dear Microsoft. Please fix this. It is making my company look unprofessional when dealing with external developers, which in turn makes both my developers and said external developers, truly hate using MS Teams (esp for multi-tenant projects). I'm not sure you want to cultivate this perception of your products. There is no technical or product reason not to implement this functionality. Thanks.
