Advance Whiteboard Features
Advance whiteboard features would add massive value to remote teams like icon & photo finder, wireframes templates, idea voting, web page capture or via URL, prebuilt templates (eg.Strategy, Agile, ideation, mind maps, sixsigma tools...)... A good inspiration can be found in Realtimeboard or Mural.
We are working on improving the Microsoft Whiteboard in Teams to include new features including sticky notes, pen and ink, and drag and drop capabilities. These features will enable team members who don’t have access to a touchscreen or Surface Hub to participate in whiteboarding sessions during Teams meetings. You can read more details here: https://www.microsoft.com/microsoft-365/blog/2020/07/08/reimagining-virtual-collaboration-future-work-learning/.
Check out Mural or Miro for some great ideas for advanced content. I use both of these platforms for virtual whitebaord sessions and they work great!

Great! Will the Whiteboard be available for GCC clients soon? This is a very commonly asked for feature!

It really is unfortunate that the whiteboard integration does not have the same functionality as the standalone app. The sticky note / text option with thumbs up functionality is a must have to turn this in a useful tool. This would also allow my less fortunate colleagues who are using Apple devices to join a collaborative session

Being able to use a whiteboard from the mobile app (especially iPadOS with Apple Pencil) would be a great improvement!

I'd love to see the ability to use a whiteboard outside of a teams meeting.
Adding templates is a good idea, but keep Whiteboard simple to use. I like how Whiteboard is a very simple and intuitive tool - just like walking up to a whiteboard in your conference room. So, if you are going to add templates and advanced features, make sure you don't ruin the very simple, intuitive nature of Whiteboard. Miro board has some nice features, but using it for just a whiteboard is not great.
I couldn't agree more with this idea, specially when you run design thinking projects all of this would add massive value
would love to see team cal
