Conversation searching needs to be improved
I found an instance where I needed to go back to a point in time with a conversation with. colleague of mine. I remembered some of the details so I used those to search. I found one of the messages from that time frame, but when clicking on it there is not an option to jump to that point in time. When you click “go to conversation” it just takes you to your chat with that person and the bottom of the transcript. That’s not helpful. My only other option is to scroll back up to that date/time, but since teams stores only a small amount of daily messages at a time, that scroll user experience becomes scroll - wait for messages to load - scroll - repeat... over and over. Since the conversation I was trying to get back to was months ago... I was going to take hours to get back to that point in time just by scrolling. The conversation search needs a better UI where you can search for a message and then have a way to click it to jump to that place in the chat. That way you can get it, and all the contextual messages related to the found one. In my case, the data I needed wasn’t in the found message, but in one of the responses to the found message. Having a way to get there would be useful.
