How to hide Activity history under the "General" Channel
How to hide Activity history under the "General" Channel.
You can delete the conversations in a channel, however the activity history still shows and clutters up the page. Can we hide the activity history?

I agree as I can hide non-important chat but it then replicates and appears in the activity log and causes clutter. The ability to delete or hide activity would be great.
I cannot use Teams for educational purposes until this is changed. There are both privacy issues and practical issues with allowing students to view their teacher's every administrative act.
I agree...as a team leader, there is a lot of background work I do to file, add people, content, subtract old members, etc. It's VERY annoying to see that is deemed more important by microsoft that as channel owner, that activity is more important than the team conversations. This should truly be a hidden feature just like in other social programs, with the ability to turn on/flag certain important things is really needed. Ideally, I want the most recent conversations to be feeding into the very top of the "welcome team " page, allowing people to scroll to the bottom if they missed something. This is presently in reverse and leads to people be less efficient with time or using the excuse..."oh sorry I must have missed that scrolling through old conversations."
I am not sure what microsoft was thinking when not allowing to clear the history of a general chat. My guests users are able to see the names of the PRIVATE channels I create under that team. Not only that, but they are also able to see who joined and see their EMAIL and all details! This is an ESSENTIAL feature!

How is this not a feature yet? It really does muddy the waters in large groups with Members being added or removed... As another user stated, this isn't the case in the mobile app. So please enable an option for this setting to be disabled. Thank you! :D

Having this feature actively prohibits companies from using this product. My organisation will not allow TEAMS as the guests can see all our set up and invites to private teams.
I have fought to get teams only to be told by my CEO they do not like how General Tab looks so we can not roll it out.
Also, why on my iOS do I not see this noise but ONLY on the desktop?
Please, please allow this tab to be hidden or turned off.
The inability to hide or delete Activity history is terrible. It truly clutters up the entire page with information that is irrelevant and not needed to be seen by team members. These are often administrative actions that have nothing to do with the conversation. Please provide an option to not show this activity in the Teams channels.
Unfortunately, there are multiple UserVoice requests for this. I've listed a couple below but I'm sure there are more than this. If these were all merged together, there might be enough votes to get this issue noticed and addressed.
The thing I don't like about this is when you create an Org-Wide Team. As it auto adds and removes from the directory, the "info / history" part looks awful. Especially every time you are creating test accounts and removing them, as it records "Test A was added" "Test A was removed"
Please allows admins the ability to hide this information
Owners of the group/channel should be able to remove/hide this info from the Posts. In many cases it is just garbage or information you do not want the members to know.
Agreed, we want ability to turn off the activity feed. Or at least clear it so all the initial minutia of setting up a team doesn't display.
Would really like the ability to turn this activity off or delete the activity. When creating a new team and making modifications to make it right before adding members, then when you add them, they see everything you've done including just changing a name of a channel. So silly.
What everyone is saying. Please stop displaying this feed.
Hey Microsoft.... We're waiting...
I agree , rediculous. The owner should have the ability to either turn off all notifications or remove any channel they wish including the 'General'. Please fix this Microsoft.
HELLO MICROSOFT, where are you, when are you going to have someone offer the courtesy of a response?
Ditto all the questions and pleas of all these people for the last TWO YEARS!
Is there going to be a response from MS on this??? It's clearly an issue and one that should be easily fixed.
This is ridiculous, it should not be this hard to turn something off!!
Guests invited also can see this activities that includes email address. This is big problem. Please imagine that 2 guests from different companies are invited to different private channel. This means Microsoft leaks customer’s name , org and email address.

Is there any update on this?
