Turn off message preview in notification toast
Currently, when I receive a message, a preview of this message is displayed in the notification toast. As we will be using Teams at work, it would be great for privacy if I had the option to turn off these previews, so the notification toast will just say "New Message from XY"
To provide you with even more privacy, Teams now lets you turn off message previews in your desktop notifications. Message previews are on by default. To turn them off, go to your profile picture, select Settings > Notifications > Show message preview. From here, switch the toggle to off.

Please get this added asap. This is a serious issue while doing presentations.
I just received the same request from a user today. Teams should be able to:
1. Have an option to show a Toaster popup notifying receipt of a message _without_ showing the message itself.
2. Have an option to not show the last message of a Private Chat underneath the Chat Contact Name.
The fact that you should have a Product Owner who actually understands the requirements of what is needed in this kind of software is also disappointing, to say the least.
And, please stop hiding behind this formality of "feature under review". It's virtually a no-brainer and making out like there is some huge decision to be made about providing this capability, especially with all the worthwhile "use cases" presented here, is patently ridiculous.

Hasn't this issue be solved yet?? It is amazing how something as simple to solve yet as potentially risky in terms of shared information is not being taking seriously by you, Microsoft Teams guys, as of today
Please add this feature. This is really bad when sharing a screen or presenting.
Still nothing? wow...

Wonder how many more months they will need to edit a couple lines of code.
Prioritize - It is a big condition for company adoption rate.
This is the worst part of Teams. You should be embarrassed.
The lack of this feature would be enough to make me switch platforms if it was my decision.
It is causing data breach in our company. How difficult is this to implement?
Or just allow us to disable Banners while blinking notification is still enabled. Thanks.
The notification for messgaes should work the same way as it does in Microsoft Skype. We are not expecting something out of this world!
how dumb you didn't think through this before issuing, This is very first thing messenger should have. Privacy!!!
There are no excuses for this lack of functionality.
Please fix this ASAP
I'm also concerned about this, as it is a privacy issue. The position I'm in means I'm privy to sensitive information about other members of staff, and people come over to my desk multiple times a day. There's a real risk that someone could see something they shouldn't about themselves or someone else, yet turning off all chat notifications means I might miss something important and time critical. I really hope this is resolved soon.

When this feature is going to come, its been couple of years now!
It is quite annoying to see that the messages stacked upon one another appear on the bottom right!, It should only say "New Message arrived" and that too only once when the 1st message arrives not for the subsequent messages that arrive within 1-2 mins.
Changing Notification of Chat messages to "Off" is not the solution as we miss out on some High priority messages!

Please add this! In a meeting it is a distraction at best, and could reveal sensitive company information at worst.
Waiting for this important update
Just got MORTIFIED in a meeting when an inappropriate message showed up on notification. Your competitors allow changing this to just a "New Message Arrived" or similar. I'm going to have to turn off all notifications for Teams so this doesn't happen again. Please take this seriously.
Yes, please add the option to not show to anyone who happens to see my teams window every last and potentially private message.
It is embarassing to see Office not respecting the ecosystem.
The app does not appear in the settings - notifications where every other application is listed and can be banned for notifications.
This is happening on every platform but Windows, really embarassing.
Also, the settings - notifications menu is NOT available on certain flavors of the teams client, which is even worse because it does not respect the users.
This is not a wish, this is a bug!
