Turn off message preview in notification toast
Currently, when I receive a message, a preview of this message is displayed in the notification toast. As we will be using Teams at work, it would be great for privacy if I had the option to turn off these previews, so the notification toast will just say "New Message from XY"
This feature team has been aware of this request, and it is under review.
So many votes and still nothing....

I believe only Application flash is fine whenever there is a new message. I don't want to see a pop-up notification every time I receive a message. Sometimes its very distracting and annoying. We use Teams at work and so many people are messaging in Channels or sending chats. I want to keep the application flash on and pop-up gone.
Microsoft please fix this!
Why are you taking so long???
Can we get an update on this?
Has this been resolved? I want my banners to appear for all messages but I do not want the body of the message to appear in the banner.
In addition to privacy concerns, this also impacts productivity with constant distractions. Please make this work like Skype for Business - just the flashing notification with no text preview.
While it is possible to hide message previews by going into Do Not Disturb mode, I would still like to be able to only see "Message from XYZ" rather than the entire message that someone has sent when in other modes. Sometimes there are other reasons to need notifications to pop up but not have the entire messages preview, for privacy of the messages being sent.
You state in the following *completed* topic that this suggestion (Turn off message preview in notification toast) is also complete, which is simply not true (see item 6. in the link):
It says to see the documentation around notifications for more detail:
There is nowhere in this documentation that mentions a feature where you can hide message content in a desktop popup notification.
Please clarify whether this feature has been added or not, and whether it's going to be added in future or not.

Only took two years from the original request to get acknowledged. Hopefully it won't take a basic privacy feature another two years to get implemented.
only option to preserve privacy of the message is to shut down notifications. that's not a workable option. please fix.

This feature wasn't available in Skype, and not yet provided in teams...When can we expect this feature, any ETA?
Need this ASAP. Major privacy issue
Microsoft, this needs sorting ASAP. It's essential to manage privacy, it really needs doing. Thanks
Please sort this ASAP . Crazy not to have this feature

The feature is becoming essential for managing privacy. The last thing I need is confidential messages showing.

Forever under review... We need this feature added immediately! Terrible UX in Microsoft Teams!
Do we have any date when this is going to be available?
any update on this request Admin?
Please... I tried removing the Banner and now I'm missing messages... I originally hid them due to a member of my team trying to train me on something and we kept getting distracted by the constant barrage of BANNERs coming in with highly visible text.
Are these people E-tarded? Fix this mess, overpaid wankers.
