Find/Search > Go to Chat. should take you to that point in time during the chat. Not just the chat window.
I want to search for a conversation within a full chat with someone. So, I use keywords in the search function. Teams will find the single message in which I used that keyword but single messages are out of context.
The Go to Chat feature just takes you to that chat at the latest message. It should take you to that specific point in time in the chat so that you can see the full context of the conversation.
Trying to scroll through days of endless chatter is cumbersome.

100% agree with this, and it's distressing that almost 3 years later this functionality still hasn't been implemented. I'll play the slack card here and say they've been doing this for half a decade now, if not longer. Not being able to jump to the point in the conversation where the search result is targeting to provide context for that result renders it marginally useful at best, and beyond useless and into time consuming junk at worst, per the original commenter's statement - "trying to scroll through days of endless chatter is cumbersome." I'd go a step beyond that and say it's not just cumbersome; there's a significant material cost in wasting that kind of time and energy, with no guarantee that anything will come of it.
