Outlook and Teams Unification
We all rely on email way too much. It would be nice to have an outlook button in the teams app below files. one unified app for all my office products :)

Make the integration of Outlook inside Teams happen. It's so easy! Go and learn: https://tomtalks.blog/2019/11/adding-outlook-email-and-calendar-app-to-microsoft-teams-a-proof-of-concept/

Personally, I would be happy just allowing me to add any web based office app.. I mean, it's pretty much almost there besides outlook but just giving access to the browser based outlook client via a left side app button on teams would essentially mean I could work almost exclusively from teams. <--As it relates to Microsoft Office applications anyway.

Microsoft has a whole suite of office programs. Can there be any system-wide integration of all the applications into one?

Having an app where i can respond to emails without leaving Teams would simplify my workflow greatly. We work with external agencies who don't use Teams and internal coworkers who haven't adopted the program either. This results in looking in two different places during the day when a simple integration between Microsoft Outlook and Teams would solve the problem. We're looking to implement Teams as a more formal communication tool, but not everyone is ready to give up on email. An app in teams would reduce this hurdle and over time we could phase out interoffice emails unless an external user was involved.

The shifts we create in "Shifts" should automatically get fed into our Outlook Calendars. Outlook Calendars allows us to build calendar groups which we can call "team calendars." Doesn't it make sense that Outlook and Teams should talk to each other?

This would be a great convenience.

Agreed. Not sure why it hasn't been done already!

Having communications in two silos is a pain unification is needed.

Why have multiple apps? Having MS Teams be a "one stop shop" for all business communications would add phenomenal value. With calendar already integrated to a degree, adding Outlook as an additional tab under "Files" would be unreal.

Preferably include in Outlook as an app within MS Teams...

Yes yes yes! Also model menus similarly so you don't have to stop and think about whether you're in Outlook App or Microsoft Teams. It's easier if they use similar symbols, menu locations, etc.

Right now, they are rather redundant and I mostly open Outlook when someone tells me they sent me an email.
