functionality to send email to all members in team
Can we add functionality to send email to whole team at once. I am not sure if it is already there.
Updating status based on comment from community member. Will update again when we receive further giving info on the scenario.

There should be various options to send an email to
1. the entire team
2. directly selected team-member
3. tagged groups (one or more)
this would help the distribution of information. Since many colleagues are still more email-communicatios than MS-Teams native users
I agree with this request, I think there should be 2 options - email entire team or email select members (where you could check off who you want the email sent to).
It will help out to send information out to those added to the team but may not use it on a day to day basis.

This is really a need. Its the way to invite people who are not used to Teams to use it

This would very much be beneficial. I'm sure I could copy / paste email addresses, but that seems like in the dark ages.
Right click on team, select option 'send group email'.
Does that provide enough detail?
This is OBVIOUSLY needed... What's the delay on implementing this, @Microsoft???
This problem is solved if you used PowerAutomate Application. I recently stumbled upon this similar situation and PowerAUtomate solved it for me. You need to have admin rights to the teams channel though.
This is needed. The example I have is I need to forward a meeting invite to everyone on a team channel. I can send the meeting invite to the team channel, but then users need to know to go to that channel, open the original email, then accept the calendar invite. It will get far less traction this way. Need to be able to forward the calendar invite directly via email to members of the team.

This is essential functionality.

I'm trying to comprehend how this was not one of the first things added to Teams. How are Teams supposed to remind off-line members? You are holding a meeting, and you need to message everyone. Putting it in the chat is not an option. You cannot just think of the technically confident people if you want uptake to grow.
There definitely needs to be a simple way to email all of the members of a team. Hard to believe this is missing from Teams.
Does this mean that it`s added the option to send an email to all Teams Members?
email@example.com - i just received an email from your account saying that my email account would be terminated unless i provided my personal details. unfortunately if this is a genuine email account - it has been reported for spamming/spoofing/scamming and im guessing that why you cant access your account because its been reported.

This would be a great function to delete Outlook groups. We can manage the TEAMS groups as our Outlook groups for communication.

We implemented this in our organization, but I believe our IT guru had to do it from the Admin Console. The Team has to be built there to get this functionality. I'm having the same issue on other teams that were not built this way. Wonder if you use the get email address, which would send an email to the Team itself, then set up a flow to distribute to the members? just a thought
please implement this, it should have been there all along
I'd vote, but I don't want any junk mail. It's absurd that this is not part of Teams.

I ended up on this page because I use Teams for work and figured I just didnt know how to properly email an entire Team at once. I am taken aback that this is not a feature. I still have to create a separate address list in Outlook and it isnt efficient.

As a member of a large organization that is implementing Teams, we often find it necessary to email Team members to make sure that they receive a message. Just because a message is posted in a Teams Channel, there is no way to track who has actually seen a message. Using Outlook and receipts, this can be accomplished. Currently, we cannot use the list of Team Members in Teams to generate an email.
We would like to be able to use the Group associated with a Team to initiate this, and we would like this to be a function available as part of the Team menu (...)

If I open outlook, create an email and type @<channel name>, I get the teams channel distributed via outlook...
Through experimentation, this only seems to work if I am the channel admin or the creator of the channel (not sure which).
