URL Preview options
However, I would like to have the ability to enable/disable the URL preview and going further, it would be nice to be able to enable/disable by URL.
Example: we use JIRA, it would be nice to disable the preview for specific sites like JIRA, but maybe still leave it enabled for other URLs.

I delete them every single time. After using Teams for nearly two years now, it has become exceptionally annoying.
This feature is very bad for sending single use links over chat. Completely breaks it. Please implement a way to add a whitelist to this where links are NOT previewed.

When writing a message that includes more than one link, the author should be able to select which one (if any) gets the URL preview.

Please make this user-configurable. 99% of the links we share are Jira, Confluence or drive docs and the preview is useless. Further, it interrupts your typing the message and repositions the cursor - very, very annoying when you type quickly and hit a ctrl-v in the middle with a link. I would like to NEVER send a link preview. Ideally I could set this so I don't see ones others send either. I can read the link text, and we all work in the same company. This is just a huge waste of time and space.
If the preview URL is not publicly available, do not show a preview!

This feature needs to be configurable at the user level, at the very least an on/off option, but a whitelist/blacklist would be preferred. URL Previews as-is are a giant waste of space.

URL previews are so annoying and take up so much space. Need to have ability to turn them off at the user level. Ability to turn off at admin level is not useful

I would like to disable all previews by default. Or if your Teams teams like the previews too much, please do it like in Messenger: provide the ability to delete the link itself while preserving the preview.

The previews are one of the worst things to happen to Teams since its introduction. Please please please get rid of this.
These "previews" end up being nothing more than advertisements that often block actual text content. Please provide a user switch to turn them off. What we have now is millions of users paying a senseless productivity tax.
So after 3 years there no sing this will be developed.
Microsoft, please make this a user choice. It's annoying to say the least.
I loathe this feature. It needs to be a user choice; enabled/disabled in the Teams app settings.
I see URL preview for GENERAL and the standard channels, but in a private channel, therei is not URL preview. Is this normal?

I hate these previews. They wouldn't be a problem IF:
- A lot smaller
- Slow internet connections wouldn't affect where they are placed
- They stay away on a message once I clicked them away
Really hate URL previews. Especially hate to remove it manually every time. Let's fix it already.
100% of the time I am removing the preview when pasting in links to webpages. There really should be a way to stop that preview being added. Most annoying and a time waster for me.

95% of the time, I have to manually remove that preview, because it just shows some Login page. People over at Microsoft apparently are not aware that some websites require authentication to be viewed, given how long standing this issue is.
Is there a possiibility to disable sharing URL in Teams chat
URL previews are just annoying for me.
However, my organization is too large for my msteams Admin to care about this, and I guess many users still want URL Previews.
So this would help me a lot as opt-out feature adjustable at user level.

You can disable the URL preview from Microsoft Teams Admin Center, more detailed explanation here
