Move task (planner) from channel to channel
I have a set of task in Team A>> Channel A. I would like that ability to move one or more task in the current channel to another team: Team B >> Channel B.

You can move a task to another plan by clicking on the 3 dots in the task>move task. Pick the plan name and pick which bucket it goes into. Ms won't let you copy a task from one team to another however. https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/copy-and-move-planner-tasks-ad43a5d8-c1ad-42fd-b3da-fe97d72c8a1b

If the Planner plan is in the same Team you can always create a tab in the correct channel. The Planner plan sits in the underlying M365 Group and is as such not connected to a specific channel. It can be displayed in any channel as a tab, and you can also remove the tab in the "wrong" channel.

Hi. I have just created a planner with a HUGE amount of tasks in it, only to realise I created it in the incorrect channel! Is there NO WAY for me to move this planner from one channel to the other?

I agree with Fred Thomas - would like to be able to drag and drop tasks into other channels.

We need to be able to move tasks but also wikis from one channel to another. Indeed, when we increase and improve our usage of Teams, we create new channels to separate some subjects and we need part of the content of the original one to be moved to the new one. To do so currently, I'm copying the content one by one to the other channel then delete it from the original one. This kinf of procedure belongs to ancient time but I haven't found a better way so far...

We would need this also to move planner from one channel to another.
We organize our monthly reporting statement via one channel with different planners.
Now we need to move some of the planners to another channel in order to adress the right people. -

A slight Variation. We have teams who have multiple projects so it would be ideal if I could copy.. Team A>> Channel A to Team A >> Channel B
Not only that but entire buckets too

There is a way to move Planner to other channel.
Add Planner to the channel and use 'existing plan' option and select the task group/planner (you can't select specific Task to move) you created in previous channel. It will copy into the new channel. Hope this helps. -

This functionality could be used to Archive projects as well.

This is really important. This would allow us to stop using basecamp all together. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!!!

I agree with everyone else. It is such a waste of time to have to keep recreating tasks in other channels. We use our to escalate issues. We want to escalate an issue from one channel to another. This should have been part of the original launch.

Mindboggling that this isn't a feature. It appears I can drag-and-drop tasks to reorder them in the current tab but I can't drag-and-drop to a different channel. What a waste of time! I created a ton of tasks that I now have to recreate in several other different channels because I wrongly assumed I would be able to move the tasks to the appropriate place.

yes I agree! We need to be able to move tasks to other channels. Reorganizing tasks is the key to having a good adoption rate with your staff, teams and organization.

Teams-Planner Tasks managing :
I explain my use case. To prepare my job I have created a thread of tasks within the Planner of a Teams account. Other people did the equivalent job. Then we realized that we needed to reorganize the tasks threads of this channel to move some in another channel. But we can't move tasks or a task thread from this channel to a new one, all the job must be done again, wasting time.It would be very useful to be able to copy or to move a task from a thread, or an entire Tasks thread of a Teams-Planner's channel to a thread of another channel of this Teams-Planner, selecting the Teams channel.
