Speakerphone turning off on Android bug
I love MS Teams and what you guys are doing. I had our entire company switch to MS Teams.
However I just realized something very, very frustrating! I have an Android phone. For months when I was talking to someone over the phone while using speakerphone,(just a regular call, not a Teams call) the speakerphone functionality would switch back to the normal non-speakerphone mode and the person would become really quiet. I had no clue what was causing this so eventually I just started deleting all my apps one by one trying to find which one was causing this. Today as I was testing this, I noticed that a Microsoft teams notification popped up while I was talking to someone on speakerphone and the same issue happened. I was able to reproduce it and as soon as deleted the MS Teams App, the bug stopped occurring. Please fix this because I need Teams for work but the speakerphone issue is just extremely frustrating. (FYI - This was happening on my Nexus 6P and also my Pixel 2 XL)
Steps to reproduce:
-Install and sign into MS Teams on Android
-Make sure you go to the app switching view and kill MS Teams
-Start a phone call
-Turn on the speakerphone
-Open up MS Teams
The phone call will switch from speakerphone mode to regular phone mode.
The steps to reproduce include just the use case of opening up the app while being on a call. However, I also noticed that the phone call will often switch from speakerphone mode to regular phone mode even without navigating to the MS Teams app. Often a notifications from MS Teams is enough to switch the a phone call from speakerphone mode to regular phone mode.
I've tested this on a Pixel 2 XL and a Samsung Galaxy S8 with the same results
I have confirmed the speaker phone bug was fixed and the update released to the public about two (or less) weeks ago.
You should no longer have this issue.

I have the same problem and have seen reports from others as well. If I'm on a call using speakerphone and someone messages me through Teams, my speakerphone audio will stop and it'll switch to handset, despite it still showing that the phone is in speakerphone mode. I'm using a Pixel XL.
This is a huge issue as it disrupts important conference calls whenever I receive an alert and sometimes it takes several seconds before I realize it and can go back in to toggle speakerphone off and back on.
