Join Meeting Button
When I schedule a meeting as a Skype Meeting it adds a "Join Meeting" button to the Outlook reminder that pops up. That button does not exist when I schedule a Teams Meeting. It should.
Without that button I have to double click to go into the calendar item, locate the hyperlink to "Join Teams Meeting", click that, which opens my web browser, and then the web browser tries to launch the Teams app, but first asks me for confirmation, which requires another click. You've added several layers of unnecessary clicks which impede my ability to join a meeting.
Just include the "Join Meeting" button in the reminders that are generated for a Teams Meeting the same way the button is there in a reminder for a Skype meeting.
Outlook meeting reminders now include the Teams meeting join button in the reminder! When you click the join button, it will bring you to your meeting.

Any updates here?
As of May 19, 2020, still need to click "open in Microsoft Teams" in the browser.
We still have this issue. It opens browser then redirects to app.
Is there is a way to skip Browser.
We need this really. any workaround? except to open event and then use teams button to join

This appears to be fixed... but you need to have a login to teams.
If you are someone in an external organisation that uses outlook, you cannot join the meeting by clicking the link in outlook now.

while i know this sounds mean, you should fire the designer that envisioned this flow and the one that approved the design! It should be a check done if you have the teams client installed
If you’re using FireFox, there doesn’t seem to be a join button. We had to use Google Chrome.
This is horrible and doesn't seem like it should have taken 5 months to fix!! It is mid may, what is the status?
I click the team meeting in gmail. This opens chrome. I click "open desktop" in chrome, but it totally ignores my request. I have the desktop app, no way can I get it to open the meeting.
Many org use Zoom. Are you guys planning on adding this support for zoom also?
I have recently had trouble with a few meetings I've scheduled where the "Join" button is completely missing. I've either scheduled the meeting in Outlook and selected (Make this a Microsoft Teams meeting) or I've created the meeting in Teams directly and sent it out to participants (all internal emails) and at the time of both meetings neither meeting had a "Join" link in their invitation...nor was the "Join" button inside my calendar...had to scramble to instantly create a meeting and invite 12 people. Yesterday evening, I scheduled a meeting and today I see inside my calendar the "Join" button...I have no clue why there was an intermittent failure from the Join button to actualize - has this happened to anyone else...All participants are on teams and on outlook with a company email...the join button just wasn't shown.
needs to launch from outlook to the teams app instead of to a web browser.

HURRY! It's so annoying. I miss meetings because i don't get a join meeting popup from MS Teams. We switched from Webex (I love webex), where we had that ability.

Any progress on this issue yet? I have a few clients asking me about it.
when i forward a Teams invitation for an attendee, it missed the join button, is this something you are working on and when it will be lunched?
Please do it.
Currently the work flow is annoying!
@alex Is there any status update?
I do not get the "Join Online" button on my meeting reminders for either a Skype or Teams meeting. How can I add that?
Please fix this issue, i want to join the Teams meeting with one click on Join button, like i did in the past for skype
