Allow sending audio and video message
Allow users to send Audio and Video message just like WhatsApp and other messages tools.
Great news! We just started working on this for the AUDIO portion. We are still trying to determine feasibility for the video portion of your request.
Very very keen on video messaging - particularly from a Deaf perspective.
This would be a great option for those who are Deaf and rely on NZSL and other sign languages around the world too. It makes it more accessible for Deaf people to leave video messages.
Since today there's a new switch in the CSTeamMessagingPolicy: AllowVideoMessages : True
I can only guess, that this could be that. Maybe not... We'll see.

You can do the audio messages through the mobile app, but not the desktop.

In today's world it is critical to pass short snippets of information rapidly. Think short how-to youtube videos but all day, every day with many of my corporate colleagues. Not being able to quickly record a video where I can share my screen and explain something quickly is very impactful to my pace of work. Instead I have to find time on calendars when the person is available to do the video live OR go through a long winded process of starting my own personal meeting, recording it and posting it then sharing the link. No one does this because its too cumbersome, but everyone needs to be able to do this. Every communication system of the modern world assumes asynchronous communications and this is a very big miss on the Teams side. They've been working on it since 2018 and still nothing? BTW mobile version of Teams has this for audio....
Would be a great option to include this in the Windows version of Teams, not just mobile. Sometimes you don't need a conversation but need to ensure your message has the right tone; a video or voice message is much more personal than a chat message.

The ability to leave a video message when a call or chat is not 'answered' would be a fantastic capability for sign language users (ASL, BSL, Auslan, etc.) and make Teams a truly accessible platform for Deaf users.
This needs to work also on the desktop version.

Hello, anyone having issues with the iOS/android apps? 2 issues found so far and we haven't adopted widespread usage yet. Still testing:
1. Audio messages: when recipient received message, they get a "can't play message" when attempting to playback the message. When select OK, can play message normally. See screenshot.
2. All audio messages are interrupted when other notifications come in.
It would be very useful on the desktop version now !

This is EXTREMELY important. In a fully virtualized covid world, and in a world where we have team members spanning extreme time zones, the ability to send a VIDEO message to a channel or 1:1 does a lot for team morale and team connection. Morale and connection boost productivity. Addition of this feature would make this tool more valuable. Please add video ASAP.

The feature works on the phone version (I use Android) but not on the Windows version, please add it there also, it would be useful for many situations where a text won't do it and you don't want to have a call also

Hi, my audio messaging is not working anymore... I deleted and redownloaded the App but it's still not working. What can I do to fix it?
It's keep saying there was an error recording the audio message.
