Integrate Teams into Outlook
It would be great if u could integrate teams into outlook. i mean the whole functionality of the 'teams app' could be a 'tab' in outlook.

I'm an Assistant Professor at a University that uses MS Office 365. I have a Team of 130 ONLINE students, they are obligated to monitor their emails, not Teams' messages. I need to email to "Students" team from inside Teams. Email is still the "official" presence of an online student as if he/she/xe is in my office during advising. Email functions as a signature on a document. Microsoft! Make the integration of Outlook inside Teams happen! Or you are proving once again that you have an unconventional and confusing logic of your own. Microsoft is known for bulky and user-unfriendly logic. The absence of Outlook integration in Temas is a vivid example of the latter given that MS Office 365 is "sold" to Universities as a tool. Improve, Microsoft, improve! Thanks!

But no idea when will be available... any roadmap?
I second integration of teams chat with outlook. I find myself switching back and forth as chat notification come in. Integration doesn't have to be full blown Teams functionality within Outlook, but active chats and the ability to reply would be nice.
(note that I find the Team chat and individual chats being separate bizarre, so it would be nice if that was streamlined so you wouldn't need to care when it is integrated with Outlook)
Add outlook into Teams. Have a split screen with one side showing outlook and the other Teams. This would allow email content to be pushed into a Teams channel.
Agree. Outlook is the most natural place to base Teams. the chat section could be added to 'layout' in the 'home' tab meaning emails and chats appear in the same window. It also makes more sense to have contacts in one place to support video and voice calling.

I Disagree, moving away from Outlook would be preferable. Teams is a much better way to communicate.
I agree add a limited Teams into outlook.
Like Groups are added to outlook. Keep it simple no images only Text where you can read whats going on.
