do not send messages when <enter> is pressed. change to another shortcut key.
I have to edit my messages several times because every time I press enter for a Carriage Return, it sends instead. I know the shortcut key for Carriage Return is SHIFT+ENTER but its not very intuitive and makes for miscommunication. Thank you for your consideration.
It's also confusing that it behaves differently when expanding the compose box. When expanded, ENTER does not send the message.

Yes! This is driving me nuts and causing me to have to go back and edit my messages. Very annoying!

When typing a message I can never tell if pushing ENTER will:
- Start a new line
- Send the message
If i'm writing a bullet point list, ENTER gives me a new line.
If i'm just writing a line of text, ENTER sends the message.
Or at least it seems like that. Thats my point, its confusing.
Some apps take Shift+ENTER as a new line, others see that as a send command.
I'd like to turn off all those shortcuts, and just use the Send button to send with my mouse. That way I know whats going to happen.

This option is available in Threema, too. You can activate via a check box to either "send message" or "create paragraph break" when pushing the Enter key. This would be a very useful option for Skype and Teams.
Please let me enter what I want to in the field and give me a send button to click. Enter to send does not work when sending more then a hi
I keep hitting enter to create a line space in my messages which goes ahead and actually sends the message instead of inserting a paragraph break. LinkedIn gives you a setting option so that you can function that way or set it so that you have to hit send before the message jets off to its recipient.
