Start calendar week on monday (or allow setting)
Using the desktopversion, when I want to plan a meeting, my weeks start on Sunday. I'm used to weeks starting on Monday, so I spent half an hour planning (and replanning) meetings.
Currently, start day for the week and the work-week are set based on your language in Settings in Microsoft Teams. The Calendar team has work on the backlog to address the case where users may want a different week/work-week start day than is usual for their language setting.
Until then, the team wanted to share this workaround for setting the work-week start day via OWA, while leaving your language settings as-is.
- Open Outlook Web Access (“OWA”), and go to the Settings panel, as described in this article: https://support.microsoft.com/office/calendar-settings-in-outlook-web-app-84544ef2-d5cf-4696-bcb3-cc87719a3e07.
- In the OWA Settings, click “View all Outlook Settings”
- Use the settings under “Show work week as” to choose your work-week days.
- Click “Save”
- Return to Teams, click on your photo/initials at the top right and choose “Sign Out”
I agree with all that is being said. I find the Teams calendar starting on Sunday very frustrating when I am able to customise this in Outlook. It is also frustrating, when adding meetings, that the dating convention is set to the US month / day / year when most people outside the US use the more logical day / month / year convention. Please consider those who really want to use Teams but don't live and work in the US.

Allow setting. our work weekbstarts om Sunday.
I work in an Arabic country, without speaking Arabic, so the only option to schedule recurring meetings for weekdays is to manually delete all the weekend entries.
This is absolutely frustrating, this is not Windows 95 anymore..

Is there any way to update the default work hours in Teams? Both of my Outlook calendars are set as they should be, but that information does not translate into Teams. Would be great for others to see when I am available, which is outside of the 8-4 standard set in Teams.
If your organisation allows it: Go to Settings and change App language to English (United Kingdom). Or to your language of choice, and see if that gives you the time, date and calendar format you like.
Being able to customize the Calendar in Teams is a needed feature

I agree with the below, there should be an option to start the calendar on any day, not just Monday.
... living in a gulf (muslim) country is making a workweek starting on Sunday (or even Saturday) and ending on Thursday not a wish but a must. Pls get this done as implemented in outlook and O365 - kind of basics in the 21st century... :-) Many thanks
I need to have my week calendar starting on sunday like in outlook

Please have a setting that allows the user to decide whether the week starts with a Monday or a Sunday. Also a setting that allows the user to select which days are displayed as the Work Week.

Since MS Teams is used globally, Please provide the ability to to customize the recurring "Daily Calendar Meeting" Schedule, as weekdays are different according to organization and countries.
the only available option is Mon-Fri while we work Sun-Thu.

Extremely important, we work from Israel where the work week is Sun-Thu but teams is showing Mon-Fri. Outlook is completely configured for that, and due to the Corona time we have substantially change our workload for teams and this design bug is preventing from adopting it.
I'd like to have the MS Team calendar starting on Monday, not Sunday.

This calendar in Teams doesn't sync the Setting with Outlook calendar. That's why even I changed my Outlook calendar for Monday as the 1st day of week, but my Teams shows Sunday.
I believe MS Teams is connected/integrated to MS Outlook app (desktop or online version).
Go to Outlook Settings-Calendar-View, set your desired work week and time, then restart your MS Teams app.
I hope this sorts out work week issue from your end.
Please add this functionality. Working from Canada, but need to have the week start on Monday. Please update this pretty basic preference setting. Thanks
Wow. it's 2020 and this is seriously some serious bad UX. Willing to give free advice on how to make this software work for humans. No charge... I'm forced to use your software by my company, but really, I'll do this literally for free and optimise your system within a week.

This basic functionality should realy be implemented. Please also allow ISO-weeks to show in the calendar. It's already in outlook so how hard could it be? :-)
I needed the week to start at Sunday, I changed the app lang to Hebrew, it shows the week starts on Sunday, I have then changed it back to EN US, the week remain on Sunday.
