Start calendar week on monday (or allow setting)
Using the desktopversion, when I want to plan a meeting, my weeks start on Sunday. I'm used to weeks starting on Monday, so I spent half an hour planning (and replanning) meetings.
Currently, start day for the week and the work-week are set based on your language in Settings in Microsoft Teams. The Calendar team has work on the backlog to address the case where users may want a different week/work-week start day than is usual for their language setting.
Until then, the team wanted to share this workaround for setting the work-week start day via OWA, while leaving your language settings as-is.
- Open Outlook Web Access (“OWA”), and go to the Settings panel, as described in this article: https://support.microsoft.com/office/calendar-settings-in-outlook-web-app-84544ef2-d5cf-4696-bcb3-cc87719a3e07.
- In the OWA Settings, click “View all Outlook Settings”
- Use the settings under “Show work week as” to choose your work-week days.
- Click “Save”
- Return to Teams, click on your photo/initials at the top right and choose “Sign Out”

Yeah this will be great because our week starts here on Sunday although we use English language
It will be great if this can be implemented as soon as possible.

Please don’t forget to change the color coding — grey to resemble time off and white to resemble office hours, this should correlate to the ‘different’ week start/working hours settings.
Also, how do you change the hours of your work day. Not everyone works 8-5 Monday through Friday
Our working day starts on Sunday and end on Thursday, I could not do it !
We had Exchange On-prem with a hybrid deployment. In Middle East region where first day of the week is Sunday and not able to Change Customize work week as default is Monday.
same here.... outlook calendar is now how I wanted it..thank you Alex... but back in Teams ... it does not show the same
Working around doesn’t work

My calendar settings in OWA and Exchange on-prem is correct but it doesn't reflect in MS teams. so the workaround is not working
The language setting is English (US), the work week starts on Monday (Teams client). The workaround does not work for Exchange on-prem, so it's not a workaround :(

It works for the Teams web client, but not in the Desktop client.

This doesn't work for us. Is it because we are using Exchange On-prem with a hybrid deployment?
This doesn't work for me.
While the Calendar settings is taking into account the start of week on Sunday, with French config, the Teams Desktop or Web shows calendar starting day of the week as Monday :-(
The calendar in Outlook starts on Sunday but not the one in Teams
I disconnected from both and reconnected so far without success.
Teams should follow a persons Outlook setting.
I want to start it on Sunday with Fr parameters!
Not allowed to, it starts by Monday by default
Never thought this would be an issue in Teams - until I tried to start my week on Monday.

It is a required functionality for us. The school has Thursday and Friday as holiday and week starts from Saturday. Either pull the setting from Outlook, or allow Teams to have the settings to set the first day of the week.
MS Outlook allows you to define which day is the first day of the week. Teams should have the same functionality.

Please enable MS Teams to take the setting from Microsoft Outlook.
1) Working days
3) Start of day, end of day
Also in the Middle East region where first day of the week is Sunday
Please set so that first day reflects the Outlook calendar. Also in the Middle East region where first day of the week is Sunday
I would like the first day of the week to be Saturday.
