Start calendar week on monday (or allow setting)
Using the desktopversion, when I want to plan a meeting, my weeks start on Sunday. I'm used to weeks starting on Monday, so I spent half an hour planning (and replanning) meetings.
Currently, start day for the week and the work-week are set based on your language in Settings in Microsoft Teams. The Calendar team has work on the backlog to address the case where users may want a different week/work-week start day than is usual for their language setting.
Until then, the team wanted to share this workaround for setting the work-week start day via OWA, while leaving your language settings as-is.
- Open Outlook Web Access (“OWA”), and go to the Settings panel, as described in this article: https://support.microsoft.com/office/calendar-settings-in-outlook-web-app-84544ef2-d5cf-4696-bcb3-cc87719a3e07.
- In the OWA Settings, click “View all Outlook Settings”
- Use the settings under “Show work week as” to choose your work-week days.
- Click “Save”
- Return to Teams, click on your photo/initials at the top right and choose “Sign Out”

Go to Microsoft Teams setting and change App Language to English (United States) then click save and restart. It worked with me now the week starts on Sunday
Middle east Working Week is Sunday to Thursday for most, can you address this ASAP.
If this is tagged to location and language settings then I am well and truly excluded. I live in the Middle East which is Arabic speaking, I don't speak Arabic and the working week starts on Sunday! How difficult can this be?
The change of working week should really be a separate setting to language settings.
Hi, i'm from Romania, where week starts with monday
English UK ii good enough for me - for calendar settings
"Language (United Kingdom)" sets Monday but "Language (Australia)" sets Sunday. This needs to be a seperate setting for sure. I want AU language & Monday.

The suggested workaround has not worked for me. I have changed the Settings>Time&Language>Region param, also ControlPanel>Region param, also OWA>Setting param. I have signed out & back in Teams
Outlook Calendar is correct now, but Teams Calendar is still wrong!
Monday as start of week is an international standard (ISO 8601). So, that should be the default.
Please get this working right or have a working option soon. It's been 3 years since the problem was voiced.
This work around didn't work. Please add an option in teams.

Please make "Week starts on" independent of language setting!
Add option to start week on Monday
add option to start week on monday
Where can I find the settings in Microsoft Teams?
As someone who uses this app but works a non-traditional work-week, I'm adding my voice to the call for this as an independent setting. It's a real disincentive to use the app.
The work-around does not come close to matching the preferred behavior found in Outlook. The missing behaviors are:
Set left most day as current day
Remember the number of days to display

Please make this obvious and not arcane. I've changed the language to fix the issue for me but that's just a lousy user experience.
reverse problem here - in Australia, work week starts on Monday, my Desktop Outlook and OWA both default to Monday Week Start correctly, but despite choosing 'Starts on Monday' in OWA settings - the Calendar in both Teams (online & desktop) still Week starting on Sunday in Teams365 and Teams-Desktop. (workaround is not working).
This did work for me. Changed the settings in OWA. teams calender setting changed to start from Sunday

It is a very important requirement for the Middle East region as there is no option to Choose English UAE as most of the expatriate workers use English.
this is EXTREMELY inconvenient and was not expected from a a corporate like MS!!! how come I can change almost everything in windows and other MS applications but unable to change a small thing like the week workdays to start on Sunday instead of Monday??
The workaround does not work to adjust the first day of the week in teams... It only adjusts it in the online outlook view. Not sure how that is very useful.
