Ability for meeting participants to draw on shared screen
Participants in a a meeting with a shared screen should have the ability to draw (with their mouse or touch pen) on the shared screen. E.g. if a PowerPoint is being presented, participants would have their designated color to draw with (to distinguish who is drawing) and a mouse pointer in the same color. The could then point and draw for the other participants in the meeting to see. This would be similar to a whiteboard, only it would be for drawing on top of a shared screen.
Thanks for providing the feedback. This feature is in our backlog. We’ll update when we have more details to share.
Come on Microsoft, you were chatting a long time ago about getting this feature. I'm not even aware of a competitor who can't do this. Please just release the development on this even if in Beta
If this feature would be implemented, I might be able to persuade my colleagues to switch to Teams.
Definitely, one of the key reasons we are using teams only for large meetings/presentations. Slack is our number one choice.
This would be an invaluable asset to teams. Please add the feature!
Zoom has had this feature since day zero. Figure it out brand.
So, it's been a year. Has this moved in the backlog? I tutor programming language studies - and pointing out where a person needs to activate some feature in the IDE by saying verbally, "no, up, up, right ... yeah over there, okay, but up a little. yeah the little yellow arrow, nope a little to the right"
Having to do that over and over until the end of time (been a year) is kaftaesque.
6800 people voted for this feature. Too few?

Annotation is available with Dynamics 365 Remote Assist (Addon to Teams) via Hololens 2, Android and iOS.
However, Teams for desktop, RealWear, iOS, Android, does not have this feature.

We would use this feature very regularly at my work, would be extremely helpful for reviews and annotating content etc.

agree, this is an absolute must have - until such time MS Teams has no chance of hoping to compete with zoom or slack in this new work-from-home environment. I cannot fathom what Microsoft might be thinking leaving this in a backlog since pre-covid days...
This needs to be added ASAP

Hello, we use screensharing for support purposes, and this feature would be extremely useful

Microsoft, you guys really need to hurry up. How can such a basic feature not be implemented yet? At least a laser pointer should be available. Microsoft Teams is basically useless for meetings about technical topics.
2020 the year with the most Online Meetings ever and microsoft has this garbage tool. Sorry but this is unacceptable.
The lack of this feature makes it almost unusable for me and my team. Because of this reason we decided to leave MS teams completely.
This is too important as a feature to let it sleep in your backlog. No update for almost a year, you have lost a lot of customers because of that...
More education establishments are using teams to teach remotely and the ability to annotate on a PowerPoint is essential! Please rush this feature!

Any update as to when this is coming out of backlog?
