Ability for meeting participants to draw on shared screen
Participants in a a meeting with a shared screen should have the ability to draw (with their mouse or touch pen) on the shared screen. E.g. if a PowerPoint is being presented, participants would have their designated color to draw with (to distinguish who is drawing) and a mouse pointer in the same color. The could then point and draw for the other participants in the meeting to see. This would be similar to a whiteboard, only it would be for drawing on top of a shared screen.
Thank you for your continued feedback. We have not forgotten about this ask. This feature remains on our backlog. We will share an update as soon as one is available.

Please get it done – asap. Now it's end of 2021 and every other competitor has this feature.

I have been deploying Teams for my company and this is the #1 thing that people are complaining about not being able to do. Thinking about moving back to Zoom due to this as it is a huge productivity killer

Five years? Really? It takes FIVE years to do this. Get an intern and get it done in two days. This is ridiculous.
"Click on the little icon down there in the corner, no other corner... yeah, on the... left... no the thing that looks like an up arrow... over by the green icon by the clock, yeah... now click... on the thing that looks like a circle with a few dots... no, next to the thing that looks like a red box... up... no just to the left of there."
THIS is not productivity software. It's torture. FIVE FREEKIN YEARS! How many thousands of votes and how long must we wait? Absolute TORTURE using this software.

Unbelievable that it havent been implemented yet. Tons of useless features, but ones we really need for everyday productivity are still not there. I'm beginning to hate Teams...
It's really hard to believe that there is still no screen annotation/markup feature in Microsoft Teams. Describing to a colleague where to click on a screen is inefficient and frustrating. Slack and Zoom both have this feature out of the box...why doesn't Teams?
This feature would make our life so much easier.
It is a pain sometimes to describe a colleague to find the right item in a list.
We can't use Teams entirely because of this... we tried. Talking about design and product development is too inefficient without being able to point things out on a shared screen.
It's just uncredible that Microsoft doesn't analyze competitor like zoom...
@Alex, are you here? you work for Apple now?
Just make it happen. It's not even that huge of an ask- it's a totally known quantity given that every other competing product already supports this, and the value to your users and ecosystem is clearly worth it. surfaces?
@Alex can you please provide a timeline for this feature? 4 years since the original request, incredible.

How long will this be on backlog? I think it's a CRITICAL feature of any video conferencing software. Without this, our only choice is to tell by voice where to look and that's *very inefficient* and a waste of time. Please, work on this already.
I'd love to see this feature too but not only in PowerPoint but also in any program that is displayed in the screen.
This is a key feature for pair programming.

I would love to see this feature too. Had to switch to Teams recently. It's impressively lackluster feature wise compared to Slack.
Would love to see this feature soon. This was requested in 2017.

My company is moving from Slack to Teams and has come to really depend on the screen markup feature in Slack. It makes screen sharing work sessions much more productive and efficient. Without it, we will undoubtedly waste many hours trying to verbally explain particular areas of interest on shared screens. Please consider the ability to markup a shared screen a must-have in future releases of Teams. Thanks.
@673546846-alex where is this feature on the product backlog? When can we expect it in a new Teams release. This is essential core functionality of screen sharing tools. Thank you.

We are moving from SLACK to TEAMS and REALLY need this drawing function on the live shared screen. The WhiteBoard is ok but it does not replace this feature. With this feature we are able to help each other out during meetings. Thank you for the consideration and please make this a priority! I have Spoken!
