Ability for meeting participants to draw on shared screen
Participants in a a meeting with a shared screen should have the ability to draw (with their mouse or touch pen) on the shared screen. E.g. if a PowerPoint is being presented, participants would have their designated color to draw with (to distinguish who is drawing) and a mouse pointer in the same color. The could then point and draw for the other participants in the meeting to see. This would be similar to a whiteboard, only it would be for drawing on top of a shared screen.

Thanks for providing the feedback. This feature is in our backlog. We’ll update when we have more details to share.

Not only draw but also type (adjustable size of font, please) and stamp would be very useful.

I also think, that this is a very important feature for workshops, trainings and meetings in general. Since it writes on the screen, it works universal with all programs. Also, it is much much quicker compared to the current ways of collaboration (whiteboard, co-work on documents).
Also: Please do not only add "drawing" but also fixed symboles like a cross and also text. Zoom does this very well -> Just copy this ;)
This is the number 1 reason why my supervisor wants to work with zoom instead of teams for workshops and trainings.

Zoom has it, my customer is now going to a zoom subscription to use this feature.
This is a lost opportunity for Microsoft.

First I appreciate all of the work that Microsoft has put in enhancing the product, a lot of good changes already available and several others on the official roadmap. That said the ability to annotate over any content you are sharing is a must have in order for us to be able to eliminate other products. This should be a no brainer to add to the official roadmap.

This is one of the most useful and important collab feature over screenshares out there -

The architects at my firm would love to have the ability to draw over their screens when sharing in Teams. We're losing buy-in over it.

This is a critical collaboration tool. I'm shocked we're at the end of August, 6+ months into the pandemic, and Microsoft is working on silly features like "stadium view" of participants and not useful (and TBH, table stakes) features like this.

Yes, please reference "WebEx" functionality. It's the closest to being able to "wave your hands" in an in person meeting. :)

To all: There is already an idea posted for this same very issue. The status was upgraded to Backlog (3,400+ votes, "Ability for meeting participants to draw on shared screen"). It would be in our best interest to consolidate our votes there to get it higher in the cue so it can be upgraded to implementation quicker. https://microsoftteams.uservoice.com/forums/555103-public/suggestions/32026894-ability-for-meeting-participants-to-draw-on-shared

Teachers teaching remotely desparately need this feature for students!! Our district is not permitting us to use Zoom and we now have no way of engaging our elementary school digital learners in these lessons, or seeing their work live without them having to upload or write and show in the webcam. So many features in TEAMS are great for older students/businesses but it is not very user friendly for younger students.

I'm an in-house SE managing Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Skype for Business, WebEx. I want only Microsoft Teams to be the company's official web conference. But users hate Teams, who can't take notes on the screen during screen sharing. Of course Zoom is possible.

Please make this high priority. Screen sharing without this is more or less useless.
