Allow copying whole chat conversations
Currently, it's not possible to select & copy more than one message in a chat. When I try to select two or more messages, the focus stays on the first message making it impossible to copy whole chat.
There are some really ugly workarounds like: https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/Microsoft-Teams/Copying-conversations/td-p/62849 which I don't consider a solution of the situation.
I want to be able to select multiple messages at once and copy them by hitting CTRL+C.
Thank you for your suggestion! We really appreciate the feedback and idea. We have reviewed this request and started working on it. I’ll let you know as it nears completion.
I can't believe you haven't fixed this yet. I wish I could go back to the old desktop version.

For me, Teams is a piece of ****
Why in first place you haven't think about this feature? Let me use classic Skype. I don't want this ****. If you are not capable then use original team of estonians.
hi suphatra, how's it going with implementation?
I would llove the ability to copy all text out of chat window.

definitely a needed feature
When you copy in teams, a pop up gets in the way making it very hard to copy a word or a group of words from the chat.
I don't understand how you can build a system like this and not have this as an option from day 1... unbelievable
Definitely would llove the ability to copy all text out of chat window. There are many benefits to this option. Case in pointm I have had multiple conversations with in house Engineers on a Team chat window and need to recall specifics of a conversation.
I don't remember the day of chat (because we all speak on a daily basis) but I do remember keywords. Without the ability to copy the text and do a "find", I have to review thousands of messages looking for one piece of information. This is far more difficult than it needs to be (currently) so I would love the ability to copy chats. Thanks!

@Suphatra: are there any updates on implementing and deploying this feature?
I found a (really stupid) workaround: clip as an image. In fact, as three images to span a short conversation. I then pasted them in-order into an email. It is mindboggling that this is what I'm reduced to if I want to archive or forward a conversation.
All other messaging tool can do this. But a software developed by the biggest software company can't.
Please implement this quickly
YES please add an option to copy COMPLETE conversation with ONE contact WITHOUT the nonsense of having to select EVERY SINGLE SNED MANUALLY.
Please PLEASE put the feature back in, to copy and paste whole conversations! I am lost without it and cannot believe the COPY function still resides under the "Edit" menu (Mac OS) but refuses to work... :-(
It is pretty sad that this bug exists. How would this even get past alpha testing? I noticed it within 5 minutes of using the app.

Yes, this is a huge drawback. It prevents me from capturing a conversion thread so I can paste it into a support ticket, bug report, etc.

So, let me guess, still trying to figure out the whole "copy everything" in a chat so I can get my work done? Check out the crazy app called notepad - its been working for years!!

You know about the issue more than a year and you are working on it already for 3 months. Could you please share the progress?
