Allow copying whole chat conversations
Currently, it's not possible to select & copy more than one message in a chat. When I try to select two or more messages, the focus stays on the first message making it impossible to copy whole chat.
There are some really ugly workarounds like: https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/Microsoft-Teams/Copying-conversations/td-p/62849 which I don't consider a solution of the situation.
I want to be able to select multiple messages at once and copy them by hitting CTRL+C.

If I weren't forced to use Teams, this would be a deal breaker. Hate that I can't copy conversations. Even from a web browser session!

Multiple times a day I need to quickly relay a conversation (or portion of one) from Teams into a ticket, or an email, or another conversation in Teams- and every single one of those times I experience the frustration of being unable to do so. It becomes such an irritation, especially compounded by the fact that every other enterprise chat application I've used has been able to handle this.
Is Microsoft truly not able to implement a functionality that has been around since Larry Tesler figured it out in the mid-70's?!
PLEASE get your copy/paste functionality in order.

At our company, 100% of its employees telecommute. This makes our preferred method of live communication to be chat. Sometimes we need to copy snippets of a conversation into a work order, and it is SO difficult to copy text from Teams. Sometimes a person's name won't even appear above their text, once pasted, and the information has to be recreated. Please test this for yourself - copy and paste a few lines of a conversation, and please fix this!!!! Thanks!

Also, the "select the first word, and hold shift-down" trick described in the original post at https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/Microsoft-Teams/Copying-conversations/td-p/62849 doesn't seem to work for me, in the standalone app or the webapp, but the scroll up trick I described below does (only in the webapp).

You can sort of do this.
I seem to have figured out a loophole. In the Teams webapp, not the standalone app, if you click and hold to highlight while scroll up ABOVE a single page of text, you can actually copy! Begin highlighting BELOW the bottommost post you wish to copy, and then, in one swift motion, drag ALL the way up, ABOVE the top of the conversation. When pasting into your buffer, use "paste as style" or else it tries to paste a bunch of images and doesn't show text.I can confirm this works using Chrome Version 63.0.3239.132 (Official Build) (64-bit), pasting from the Teams webapp into the Office 365 Outlook webapp.

Conversation histories were very clunky in Skype-B and it was everything ... but at least there was a record. With a simple select and copy, I'd be able to archive what I want.
And, BTW, I'm not a fan of how the new Skype (non business) attempts to maintain the rich text. Setting the style to black and pasting creates a document that is hard to read. Paste-Text is better.

Yes - need this. Conversations are useful for asking a team for quick reply feedback. You need a way to collect this quickly for further processing / forwarding etc.

It's really important for my company to have an "Export chat" feature of some sort. Export-to-PDF would be ideal but just a simple "Select-all/copy/paste" would be adequate. My company would use it to make a long-term record for storage in an offline archive, after a project is closed. All other applications and services have this feature, why not Teams?!!

Yeah, I've been messing with T-bot and would like to copy my "chat" for the amusement of my cow-orkers, but can't do it. I'd really like to be able to do this. Seems only logical.
