Allow copying whole chat conversations
Currently, it's not possible to select & copy more than one message in a chat. When I try to select two or more messages, the focus stays on the first message making it impossible to copy whole chat.
There are some really ugly workarounds like: https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/Microsoft-Teams/Copying-conversations/td-p/62849 which I don't consider a solution of the situation.
I want to be able to select multiple messages at once and copy them by hitting CTRL+C.

Thank you for your suggestion! We really appreciate the feedback and idea. We have reviewed this request and started working on it. I’ll let you know as it nears completion.

Since time began certain features of Skype endeared us to it. Like being able to copy whole conversions, being able just to log out in the knowledge that no one could log back in without the password. Being able to take a still pic when on a video call.... being able to turn off the inane Skype notification noises. Forget it! Skype is dead as we know it starting with Skype 8. And what's more we HAVE TO HAVE IT. The Classic option just leads us on to an update to the disreputable feature weak pointless Skype 8. Like a ****, only the creators love it.

From LN Sametime to skype wasn't an improvement, but with Teams it gets even worse.
as Always MS copies features from others but they FAIL.
Teams sucks, but we have to use that ...... -

just got forced to take the new version 8.34, i can survive with other ****, but not being able to copy conversations with ease is a huge huge problem. And you should be able to se who said what! Who the **** came up with the " bright idea" of removing normal copy paste function?

We have to delete all our Teams and reprovision them because we wish to move our Team's to the Canadian data centre. If there is not a way to copy these we lose everything. Please at least give us status on this so we can tell our partners WHEN this is happening. I think we would keep the old ones temporarily if there was a chance this functionality was actually being added in the next few months.

We need to copy and document every conversation for our work. If Teams doesn't have this feature then bring back Skype!!!!

As an IT developer, I am dumbfounded that such a basic feature (copy multiple chats) was not considered from the start - however, I am really aggravated by the fact that MSFT has not fixed this after this was brought to your attention in 2017!!
At work, we switched from Skype to S4B + Teams recently ... I can tell you that I wish we had never done that. Both tools seem to be as user 'unfriendly' as they can be.
MSFT - when you ask yourself why people criticize your software, get down from your ivory tower and just hear the feedback from the users of your products.

A year after suphatra's assurance this was being worked on - and now we still have to go through and select one comment at a time to copy it out. MS obviously would prefer people stop using this product but won't just come out and say it.

The ability for a user to save/export their chat history is a pretty basic feature. Seriously Microsoft, get with the program! (you used to be great!)

why MS have to remove useful things... It should be forbidden to buy different companies!!!

Ya, not having this is a pretty glaring deficiency. The application isn't really useful as it is.

I agree! This is definitely needed. Currently to get it to display correctly, you have to take multiple screen shots and save them and attach them to the email, etc and then recipient has to open multiple images to put them all together as one conversation. Would be nice to have a print or copy feature where it displays the entire conversation with all details in a legible format like Skype and other IM programs do.

This is desperately needed. I can't believe it doesn't already have this feature.

I absolutely agree. The reason I used Skype in the first place over MSN was its ability to easily export massive amounts of discussions, discussions which I then reviewed for projects. Selecting one message at a time over an entire week's worth of discussion is RIDICULOUS.

I hope to see the conversation saved in Outlook like how it works in Skype for Business when you press Ctrl+S.

Bring back a real version of Skype 7.4 worked fine and layout was extremely functional. Enough with the stripped down fat finger software you keep forcing down our throats. If it is not broken why does MS keep breaking it? Does anybody else wonder about this?

What happened to "Select All" then "Copy Selection" I am REALLY FED UP with Microsoft destroying great products. I am forced to click 250% more to do everything and it hurts my wrist all these **** new clicks in office now in Skype Desktop which they forced down my throat in November saying 7.X version will no longer work upgrade to new the new garbageware version stripped down. The old version was laid out now I am clicking like crazy before I could see all my contact on left and on right chat for whoever I highlight resulting in one click now I have to click and click to review all my chats...stupid fat finger garbage. MS products are becoming stripped down fat finger software BUT on desktop is decreasing productivity DRAMATICALLY....NOT GOOD AT ALL. IS ANYBODY IN MS THINKING ABOUT THIS? Should be two versions. Every time I turn around they are removing functionality from MS products and making it so I have to click deeper and deeper into menus or scroll down stupid menus set up for fat finger devices. LOOK HAVE TWO VERSIONS OF SOFTWARE because this fat finger design is not working for desktop my clicks, drags and use of my mouse has increase 250% for everything I do now it is a aweful experience forcing us to use software designed for pads and phones. It is a horrible experience and I have been using MS products for 30 years!
