Allow copying whole chat conversations
Currently, it's not possible to select & copy more than one message in a chat. When I try to select two or more messages, the focus stays on the first message making it impossible to copy whole chat.
There are some really ugly workarounds like: https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/Microsoft-Teams/Copying-conversations/td-p/62849 which I don't consider a solution of the situation.
I want to be able to select multiple messages at once and copy them by hitting CTRL+C.

Thank you for your suggestion! We really appreciate the feedback and idea. We have reviewed this request and started working on it. I’ll let you know as it nears completion.

It's been two years and this feature hasn't been set up? Come on! something as easy as copy-paste a conversation shouldn't be such a hard time!
Please get this feature on the program! -

Are we really working on this as it's now March 2021 and still no news.

As of 1 Nov 2018 this was flagged as WORKING ON IT. Glad to hear, but considering this is both something that obviously should have been supplied in the initial release and is desperately needed we appear to have a serious contradiction here. After two years we begin to question Microsoft's intention to meet customers needs vs. a desire to force Microsoft strategy.

I frequently want to review an entire conversation and would like to be able to copy and paste it to Excel or Word, so that I can manipulate. This seems to be a pretty basic feature, which there is much interest in. Please work on this.

It can move, merge, copy, archive and export channels ✅
In addition, can change channels from private to public and vice versa
Also available in Microsoft Appsource

This is absurd. Copying and pasting in sections doesn't even use the same formatting. I'd have an easier time manually re-typing the entire conversation than trying to copy/paste from a conversation. Seriously how does a thread use this many different formats for a conversation between 2 people?

It's now January 30, 2021 and this problem of us not being able to copy whole chat conversations has not been fixed. Please fix this issue.

The response above that this is being worked on is from 2018. Is this still being worked on? Can you please add an update or any suggestions, please!

Please develop this to allow full conversation thread export.
This manual partial copies work-around is killing me. -

Just below the X mark in the conversation, there will be a pop up window. Click on that, then you are able to CTRL+A, then copy and paste the whole conversation.

Please it's a pity to have to copy paste manually messages 10 by 10. Took my colleague half a workday to get a 3 month chat on a word document.
The best would be like in WhatsApp, select messages or dates or the whole chat history to copy in the clipboard, or export directly in a format (Word, Excel, PDF, One Note...).
Give us this, you'll be greatly blessed :) -

Would definitely need to be able to save an MS Teams video conferencing meeting chat to a Word doc. When do you expect that this might be possible?
