Allow copying whole chat conversations
Currently, it's not possible to select & copy more than one message in a chat. When I try to select two or more messages, the focus stays on the first message making it impossible to copy whole chat.
There are some really ugly workarounds like: https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/Microsoft-Teams/Copying-conversations/td-p/62849 which I don't consider a solution of the situation.
I want to be able to select multiple messages at once and copy them by hitting CTRL+C.

Thank you for your suggestion! We really appreciate the feedback and idea. We have reviewed this request and started working on it. I’ll let you know as it nears completion.

Please develop this to allow full conversation thread export.
This manual partial copies work-around is killing me. -

Just below the X mark in the conversation, there will be a pop up window. Click on that, then you are able to CTRL+A, then copy and paste the whole conversation.

Please it's a pity to have to copy paste manually messages 10 by 10. Took my colleague half a workday to get a 3 month chat on a word document.
The best would be like in WhatsApp, select messages or dates or the whole chat history to copy in the clipboard, or export directly in a format (Word, Excel, PDF, One Note...).
Give us this, you'll be greatly blessed :) -

Would definitely need to be able to save an MS Teams video conferencing meeting chat to a Word doc. When do you expect that this might be possible?

Please add this functionality!
CTRL-A - CTRL-C or STRG-Select does not work. It does not copy more than a small part of a chat

Who was the architect of this product ? Teams gets used as a productivity tool. Which means a lot of times, discussion that took place in teams needs to be stored in a CRM system as well for future reference. Something that is as basic as copy and paste is missing from product and 2 years after getting commitment from Microsoft, it is still nowhere.

Is there a way to integrate a copy or conversation flow like Skype did with Outlook. Skype had the Conversation History function in Outlook that made it easy to forward conversation info or take the conversation history as documentation when you needed to have documentation. So one example why this is important to me is that when a conversation about purchasing has been in chat and the approval to complete a purchase is in chat it is required to maintain the documentation that you have approval to purchase an asset. Chat is great for sharing the information and ideas to make a decision but my end requires paperwork and the documentation to support that paperwork

I believe this is done on purpose. Because that would prevent the boss from covering his R's when not being helpful. Hence, this functionality will never become reality. But Teams really really does appreciate the input.

Cannot wait for this to happen.
Can you please keep in mind like Skype where the copy/extract/export/save/... will use real full dates and times and names.
Example:
11/20/2020 11:12:34:567 AM John Doe
Hello
11/20/2020 11:20:34:567 AM Jane Smith
HelloMany Thanks.

Given Copy and paste is fundamental to most things done in the Microsoft environment it seems crazy that this is not available - there is another similar vote of 2400+ people saying it is needed.

I agree, I regularly rely on that capability on Skype and wish it was available now that my workplace is transitioning to Teams.
