Bose Bluetooth headphones keeps dropping during meeting
Almost every meeting I attend on Microsoft Teams forces my Bose wireless headphones to disconnect during the meeting on my 2016 Macbook pro. Not only does it disconnect, but it unmutes my speakers on the Macbook so everyone in the office can hear what's happening in the meeting. It only happens on Teams and is really rather unacceptable. I avoid teams as much as possible as a result.
My headset was cutting out with a power-down tone near the end of 1-hour meetings... changed the "Standby Timer" setting in my Bose app (android phone) from 1 hour to 3 hours. Here's hoping!
i am facing same challenge BOSE 700 disconnects during the call. pretty frustrating. Tried pairing again but didn't help.

I have similar issues. I don't lose audio on QC35 ii on Windows 10 HP laptop, but my microphone just cuts out mid-conference call on Teams meaning nobody can hear me at times. I have a Jabra wired headset which is fine, but my Bose QC35 ii drop off without fail.
A colleague of mine has similar issues with a Skull Candy bluetooth headphone / microphone unit. Doesn't seem exclusive to brand, seems to be exclusive to bluetooth headphones on Windows 10 Teams application. Hope MS can resolve this as it is very frustrating.
A similar issue occurs with my Bose Quiet Comfort 35ii bluetooth headphones - strangely my iphone constantly disconnects and reconnects while on the Teams call. It occurs when I have these bluetooth headphones connected to *both* my Dell Precision 7530 laptop (Win10 v1809) and my iPhone 8 (iOS 13.3.1) and I have a Teams call - I am listening and talking through the Bose. Several minutes in, all of a sudden, the Bose will announce, "iPhone disconnected", and then immediately "iPhone connected". And will keep doing that - and each time, I can't hear what the other person is saying. I turn the bluetooth off the iphone, and the bose stops doing that. I thought this was a bose issue ... but Teams does some things strange things with AV things ...
Otherwise, I'm using the iphone to listen to music all day, with the occasional pausing that so I can listen to my pc's audio for a video or training. It's only during the Teams call that all the disconnect/connect'ing happens.
Seems like related question, still not resolved https://community.bose.com/t5/Around-On-Ear-Headphones/QC35-II-with-Skype-and-standby-timer/td-p/177677
I have a JBL bluethooth headphones, my fix for the problem was to tell Teams not too use the headphone's mic.
same happens with Android version of Skype For Business.
time to time audio drops from my Jabra Elite 75t to speakers, I can change back to bluetooth sound manually by selecting the Audio output on the app.
It seems like a common issue with Teams, both Microsoft softwares
My bluetooth keyboard and mouse keeps disconnecting and reconnecting continuously when I'm in a Teams meeting. I'm on a Macbook Pro, using the Teams client.
Hi Teams team,
Similar issue with Bose QC 2 and Lenovo Thinkpad X1. Audio drops off abruptly during a call but stays connected while listening to music.
Similar issue here.
Using a Surface Pro 4, MS Teams & Bose NC 700 headphones.
Never drops when just listening to music however when on a Teams call the audio either:
Doesn't connect in the first instance
Works for a while then starts to distort the audio;
Resulting in complete loss
Or, just drops completely for no reason
The only fix i've found is to leave the call and rejoin. Sometimes multiple disconnects and re-connects. However, this doesn't always work and this morning I had to shut Teams down completely and re-open for the headphones to then work for the duration of the call.
This is annoying when people are waiting for you to get your s**t together!

Same issue here with Sennheiser MB660 both Teams and Skype for Business under Windows 10. Although it seems more like it is just going into standby mode not really losing connection. It just quietly turns off. I did not have any problems when using them with Teams under Debian 9 and 10.
Same problem for me with Teams. Losing the connection all the time, i can't use my Bose quietcomfort 35 ii for Teams meetings!!
I have no problems with other connections like from my Asus phone when someone calls or when i just listen to music from the computer.

I had the same issue, I changed the standby time of my bose headset through the app to "Never", then removed the device from my laptop's Bluetooth list and reconnected. Now I'm using the app and listening to voice calls through my bose headset, and speaking through the laptop's microphone.
Thanks to @ozgur and another anonymous person who wrote these recommendations.
I had to change the headphone settings using the Bose app. in my phone to standby timer = never. It solved the problem.
I would recommend clearing the device list on your devices and headphones to renew the connection. This should fix the issue of the dropping of the signal, you can do this by powering on your headset, then slide and hold the Power switch toward the Bluetooth icon for about 10 seconds until you hear "Bluetooth device list cleared"
I also have the same problem.. Does anybody find a solution / fix for this?
I have the same issue (QC35ii). I thought it was a peculiarity of my laptop, but it seems rather common!
Same issue with Bose NC 700's. Super painful. I end up connected to teams on my phone (no problem there) - and then connected just with the screen on my laptop.
