Bose Bluetooth headphones keeps dropping during meeting
Almost every meeting I attend on Microsoft Teams forces my Bose wireless headphones to disconnect during the meeting on my 2016 Macbook pro. Not only does it disconnect, but it unmutes my speakers on the Macbook so everyone in the office can hear what's happening in the meeting. It only happens on Teams and is really rather unacceptable. I avoid teams as much as possible as a result.
Im using a Logitech G935 Gaming headset and have the same issue. Sorry Microsoft, you need to fix this now! It is not your job to tell users what headphones they can use!

Hi everyone, I found an answer on a MS website that points out that the headset you are using needs to be certified, otherwise it seem that you are on your own. :- O
Thank you for your response, apologies for this inconvenience,
one reason also is that sony 1000xm4, is not yet on the list of the certified devices for teams, please see link https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoftteams/devices/usb-devices, this experience might be due to the manufacturer.
Apologies for this and thank you for your understanding.
Same concern with JBL Tune 125TWS. Really annoying!
I'm an IT engineer that's works for a fairly large organisation, I have had several cases from our user base reporting the same issue. Microsoft Teams randomly stops producing sound and detecting audio devices connected to asset. I have tried every fix suggested by Microsoft support and doing some further digging online on other forum platforms it seems like this issue is quite random and very well spread effecting many users globally. Microsoft have not seemed to implement a semi decent work around or fix as of yet.
Has anyone else got it working with a work around, I have tried everything as of late to no avail, just quite irritating knowing that I can't fix this issue.
I'm having the same problem on a Jabra 9470 headset with Lenovo laptop & dock. Headset, speaker, video randomly go out. In my case, the headset base is wired, but the headset is bluetoothed to the Jabra base. I can go 3+ hours without a problem and then the next day, it fails in the first Teams meeting. Seems to be more frequent when the video is on, but then again, it is really random and I can't reproduce. I've updated all the drivers multiple times. Nothing works.
This issue happened today, so if there is a file/log that would be helpful, let me know and I'll attach.
Same with Jabra Pro 935 and other Jabra wireless headsets. We have raised a call with MS, but they asked us to discuss this with Jabra. The Jabra development team is unable to see something unusual while going through the event logs.
We are getting a lot of calls about this problem, and it seems like you don't care enough about this as there isn't any official statement that confirms that Teams cannot handle it very well with Bluetooth devices.
Please treat this with urgency, as in the Enterprise environment this is a very big problem. It generates a lot of work for a lot of Service Desk agents without being able to do anything about it, it also involves a big sum of money, because we think that buying a new one will sort this but NO! It happens only on Teams so please provide an official response.
Same problem with B&O H8. I can connect sucessfully with BT - input and output signals are fine. When I use MS Teams, the BT connection disconnects after exactly 15 minutes every time. Amazing that I have seen several houndreds quereies for this problem, but not a single useful reply by Microsoft.. You only refer to your own shop with MS Teams compatible headsets. That stinks almost like Apple Business imo!

This is super frustrating, and needs to be resolved. Jabra headset on Macos 11.2.1 (and prior versions). I use an external monitor typically as well, in the event that helps diagnose.
Seems like teams prioritization of it's load / video processing seems to get in the way of bluetooth audio staying running. Must-fix for MSFT to keep Teams growing and not create issues with the vast number of people who use wireless headphones/headsets more and more.
My Beoplay H9 drop out after 20 or so minutes. Incredibly frustrating to say the least. Come on MS, up your game it seems to be taking years.
Similar issue here (1MORE Dual ANC Pro). Every meeting I attend on MS Teams starts with audio output and microphone working perfectly. After a few minutes, the audio output drops and I can't hear the meeting anymore. Tried Devon C S’s solution (August 18, 2020 5:16 AM) but it does not work. Even disabling the headphone in sound settings also doesn't work.

Surface Pro. Plantronics 5200. Drops bluetooth and hissing throughout teams call. No problem on my iPhone. Seems this is an issue Microsoft knows about but feels is not important enough to fix. It's sad.
Same issue using Huawei 3i, assumed it was the headphones but after reading these comments.
The notifications in Teams come through the earphones fine, but the conversation doesn't, they can hear me I can't hear them.
I already left a comment on 29 november, but wanted to add that I have tried a discrete BT dongle in my Windows10 laptop (Asus USB-BT500), and the problem still persists. I believe we can rule out:
* the headset (as others have exactly the same issue with B&O, Bose, Jabra, etc.)
* the bluetooth controller chipset (Dell and Asus)
What is left?
* The windows bluetooth subsystem (properly handling the 'headphones' mode, but not the 'headset' mode) -> videoconferencing on my linux laptop with the same headset works
* Bluetooth handling in Teams and Skype -> videoconferencing on the Windows laptop with Cisco WebEx works
Tried the solution described by Ahmed on 25 august 2020 22:14. This solution does not work for me :-(
Also tried installing the last BT drivers (as found in another forum). Does not give a solution... :-(
Do not know what to do next ...
Same here with Jabra Evolve 65. Testing now with solution as described by Ahmed on 25 august 2020 22:14

same for aiaiai headphones
I have the Bose QuietComfort 35 II and I have issues with the incoming sound and the outgoing sound on teams. I notice that when I use them, every now and then my co-workers tell me that I am breaking up and then Teams shows a message saying that connection is bad and need to get closer to the wifi point even though I am next to it. The incoming sound is also affected and also breaks up here and there. I noticed that if I don't use the headphones or if I am having issues and disconnect from them, the issue is gone.
Have you tried to set off the standby timer on the bose connect app?
I have the same issue with my AKG Y50 Bluetooth headset. This happens only with Teams. And I loose both audio and mic instead of switching to my (windows 10) laptop. Highly annonying!!
I do not see any comments that this problem was solved. Where is the Teams help?
