Bose Bluetooth headphones keeps dropping during meeting
Almost every meeting I attend on Microsoft Teams forces my Bose wireless headphones to disconnect during the meeting on my 2016 Macbook pro. Not only does it disconnect, but it unmutes my speakers on the Macbook so everyone in the office can hear what's happening in the meeting. It only happens on Teams and is really rather unacceptable. I avoid teams as much as possible as a result.

This is super frustrating, and needs to be resolved. Jabra headset on Macos 11.2.1 (and prior versions). I use an external monitor typically as well, in the event that helps diagnose.
Seems like teams prioritization of it's load / video processing seems to get in the way of bluetooth audio staying running. Must-fix for MSFT to keep Teams growing and not create issues with the vast number of people who use wireless headphones/headsets more and more.

My Beoplay H9 drop out after 20 or so minutes. Incredibly frustrating to say the least. Come on MS, up your game it seems to be taking years.

Similar issue here (1MORE Dual ANC Pro). Every meeting I attend on MS Teams starts with audio output and microphone working perfectly. After a few minutes, the audio output drops and I can't hear the meeting anymore. Tried Devon C S’s solution (August 18, 2020 5:16 AM) but it does not work. Even disabling the headphone in sound settings also doesn't work.

Surface Pro. Plantronics 5200. Drops bluetooth and hissing throughout teams call. No problem on my iPhone. Seems this is an issue Microsoft knows about but feels is not important enough to fix. It's sad.

Same issue using Huawei 3i, assumed it was the headphones but after reading these comments.
The notifications in Teams come through the earphones fine, but the conversation doesn't, they can hear me I can't hear them.
So frustrating!

I already left a comment on 29 november, but wanted to add that I have tried a discrete BT dongle in my Windows10 laptop (Asus USB-BT500), and the problem still persists. I believe we can rule out:
* the headset (as others have exactly the same issue with B&O, Bose, Jabra, etc.)
* the bluetooth controller chipset (Dell and Asus)What is left?
* The windows bluetooth subsystem (properly handling the 'headphones' mode, but not the 'headset' mode) -> videoconferencing on my linux laptop with the same headset works
* Bluetooth handling in Teams and Skype -> videoconferencing on the Windows laptop with Cisco WebEx works -

Tried the solution described by Ahmed on 25 august 2020 22:14. This solution does not work for me :-(
Also tried installing the last BT drivers (as found in another forum). Does not give a solution... :-(
Do not know what to do next ... -

I have the Bose QuietComfort 35 II and I have issues with the incoming sound and the outgoing sound on teams. I notice that when I use them, every now and then my co-workers tell me that I am breaking up and then Teams shows a message saying that connection is bad and need to get closer to the wifi point even though I am next to it. The incoming sound is also affected and also breaks up here and there. I noticed that if I don't use the headphones or if I am having issues and disconnect from them, the issue is gone.

Have you tried to set off the standby timer on the bose connect app?

I have the same issue with my AKG Y50 Bluetooth headset. This happens only with Teams. And I loose both audio and mic instead of switching to my (windows 10) laptop. Highly annonying!!

I do not see any comments that this problem was solved. Where is the Teams help?

I have two sets of Bose, the newest ones get knocked out of Teams whenever there’s a ‘chat’ post, which is sometimes for the whole meeting. Very annoying as now can’t use them!!

Only MS Teams has this problem. The sound stops after a few moments. All other programs are working fine. Unbelievable that Microsoft cannot fix this problem. Or do the want to sell only their own BT stuff?

It saddens me that this issue is still present and that it would seem Microsoft are not going to fix it. I've been blaming my new Sony's but no, it's teams! Will be trying a meeting from within the browser to see if it helps. The app, as people have commented below, is useless :(

Same issue with my AKG Y50 BT headset:
* In MS Teams, the sound switches from the headset to the laptop's speakers (switching the headset on again undo's this switch)
* In Skype for Business, I'm just put on hold, have to power the headset on again, and resume the call (often twice or even three times). My take on the issue is that Skype / Teams doesn't send any keepalive packages to the headset, triggering the headset to enter standby mode. I don't have this issue with other conferencing systems (Webex, Zoom, Jitsi)

Also the bluetooth ears I use, RHA , ( not the cheapest brand ) disconnect, only with Microsoft Teams.
After trying all settings, leaving the meeting and reconnect is the only solution to be able to join for 10 minutes ,and then this all repeats. -

My Soundcore Q10 headphones do the same thing. During Microsoft Teams meetings I lose sound and voice. The head[hones stay connected but they do not transmit audio until I disconnect and reconnect or toggle Bluetooth off and back on. Music streaming is fine all day long. It is just during meetings, about 20 minutes in.
