Topic Label for Conversation Threads
Can we add a Label / Topic Name for Conversation Threads within a channel?

I think there is a solution to this. The author of the first comment can go back and edit it. The author can then click on the Format option (an A with a little paintbrush next to it) and Teams gives them the option to add a subject to the thread.
Has anyone found a workable solution to this request that they could share? I want to do exactly what Kerry mentioned in his 2017 post. Thank you in advance.

+1 on this. With the threads always jumping around when there are multiple active threads at a time, plus the lack of labels on a thread head gives a poor user experience.
Would be great to search on the labels to find related threads if this gets impemented.
As mentioned below, these are called #tags in Yammer, and can be 'followed' etc. Would be very useful functionality

Voting for Labels, would be great
The absence of this ability is a big miss. I've spent so much time getting our team used to using the Team conversation capability and now am facing abandonment due to inability to track conversations by topic. Really need ability to add headings and track threads.

Agreed it is really unweildy to just use the search function. Also wish you could name a thread (almost like a subject of an email to track the back and forth).

There definitely needs to be a way to sort threads in the conversations tab my name, subject, etc.
Agree with other comments, its not easy to track threads on specific topics within channels. This cannot be difficult to do eg Give a thread a title or the means to specify a topic or label.
Either that or allow threads to be sorted / viewed in a better way within the channel
Or both of the above! -Why not

I agree with the "thread naming" idea. Along these same lines, it would be really cool if you could choose to make a thread sticky and have several of them open and pinned to a home page, each with their own scrollable view. You could resize and move around the thread windows to your liking and when you're done with one, close it out.
+1. Would be very helpful to differentiate between various conversations within the channels

I agree. If we had threaded chats that you could tag or label then we could do some really useful stuff! For example, imagine if in your chats you could keep track of your 1-on-1 meeting? You could type in an agenda, have the chat screen visible while you conducted your meeting over video with the person and type in notes that both of you could see. You'd have agreement on what needed to be done, a summary of the discussion, etc. You could update it after the 1-on-1 with updates on progress, revisions, etc. and with the tag, you could always refer back to. You could also search for the tags and get a list of your 1-on-1 meetings. What a great way to pull together the info you need for review time!

An excellent idea. I want to move my team conversations from their Yammer Groups and into a Microsoft Teams conversation. However one of the main benefits of Yammer for a certain subject area is the ability to add topics to individual conversation threads.
Please can you add this as a feature of Microsoft teams conversations?

I would love to be able to take an existing conversation, summarize what's being discussed, and add a label to the top of the conversation.
