Don't Close Call when Teams window Closed
This happens to me about 5 times a day. Literally. I'm chatting to someone and they close the window to find another one and the call ends.
In Skype, closing the Window doesn't end the call.
On iOS, closing the Window doesn't end the call.
Why does it end the call on Windows?
I've left a call by accident several times now as when I hit the X there's no confirmation dialog.
My call is mostly got disconnected when i mistakenly click on cross button on Teams window on Mac OS
Suggestion- When call is in-progress
Just move the Teams window in the background without disconnecting the call.
Notify the user by displaying the popup message "Are you sure you want to disconnect the call?".
THIS IS THE WORST THING ABOUT TEAMS (YES, IN CAPSLOCK)
I have the same issue, it would be nice if we had a warning message when you click on the X or implement the suggestion solution provided Oleksandr Pikozh on September 9, 2019.
It ends the call on Mac as well. This also happens to me 5x a day, it is a HUGE PAIN.
Especially because on Mac, you can close ANY app and it will continue running in the background; it's just a way to clear up your desktop a bit and hide the window. I am so used to this process, that I use Command+W ("Close") constantly throughout the day as a second nature.
I accidentally hang up or leave calls ALL DAY because of this instinct. This is a terrible practice. Closing the Teams app should not end a call!

Please fix this ASAP Microsoft! This is a huge user interface issue that should be a very simple fix to code. Thank you!
This now happens to me all the time. I always use the shortcut to close windows (command + w), without even thinking about it. It's fine because the apps continue to run normally. However with Teams, if I'm on a call and need to hide the app, I end up ending the call without meaning to. I believe this is a bug!

the same problem in macOS...

When you are in a call and click the close window button a prompt should ask you whether you want to close the window and end the call, it can be frustrating if you accidently click on the close button whilst in a call and it ends the call. Outlook has a similar function for saving drafts and exiting with emails in your outbox.

Same for me - silly idea - close the window and close your team session - no warning, nothing, teams is supposed to be skype 2.0 so put the basic features back from skype please !

Wow since 2017 - I am impressed ;-)
please give at least a warning before shutting down the app during a call !
And thanks for the continous work on improving Teams!
The “x” in the upper right corner of a file window is too much like the “x” in a regular application like Excel or Word, so the users suggestion of a supplemental prompt like “Do you really want to leave the video call?” Is a good one!

A few times i have been on a call and cleaning up my desktop / rearranging my windows and inadvertantly close the Teams window that then hangs up the call. Maybe a pop up warning that the call will be hung up could appear if you go to close the window while on a call.
I've noticed that if I'm on a teams call on my iMac, I will go to press the 'x' button to minimize the window (can't stand having idle windows open on my desktop), it will automatically end the call I am on.
Is there a way to continue the phone call although the window is closed? I can't count how many times I've accidentally hung up on my co-workers.

Thanks, I hate it

Happens to me daily. Drives me INSANE.

It is possible to accidentally close Teams altogether during a Teams call.
It should ask me if I'm certain I want to exit during a call.
This just happened to me, although the option "On close, keep the application running" was enabled. It is really and annoying. We just migrated our PBX to teams in order to work from home due to corona. This bug would be the main issue to switch to a different cloud pbx as soon as possible, This behavior is really stupid as ***

I've just discovered this same behaviour as well, as we look to migrate our voice comms to Teams. It's incredibly annoying and is slowing/reversing the acceptance curve of Teams by management and staff alike.

Annoying as **** to drop off the same call 4x in one session. Fix this please.
