Display full filename for sharepoint library
when you connect sharepoint library in teams, the column width is fixed, teams cannot display full file name, you can display full name in web page version when you put mouse arrow on the filename.

Yes, this is a stupid restriction. Like another person, many of my files' names have the same stem and only differ in the latter parts (which I cannot see)

I agree - Please update

This problem is driving me crazy. I have to drag the column header over every time I come to a library, and then the whole screen redraws, and then if I click another grouping, I have to do it all over again.

With 60% of the screen white-space it is a ridiculous restriction.
If MS wasn't a corporate standard, I'd not touch it with yours. -

This would be funny if it weren't so utterly tragic and annoying.
Perhaps no-one at MS uses Sharepoint on their Macbooks. -

By opening the Details pane you can see the full filename, but this seems clunky. It would be much better to be able to increase the column width or decrease the font size.

this is an annoying feature of sharepoint. is there anyone working at MS who can think about software usability/user experience? seems none....

yes - very annoying, description length is far too short and why is this the only MS product with no ability to change width of column - please MS fix this!

Try stretching the column header. Hovering your mouse over the "Name" column will shade the column and reveal its size. Once you get near the edge, your mouse will allow the adjustment of the column width. This will work for any of the columns.

Any update on this annoying issue?

Microsoft added support for long file names a long time ago, why would they revert to not much more than the ancient 8.3 format?
Will this be addressed soon so this tool is actually useful?

Supremely stupid oversight, especially given the simplicity of the concept.

I agree. Either a column resizer or a tooltip would help enormously

This makes a good idea completely useless

I cant believe this is an issue, so annoying when you have large folders with lots of files that start the same way

Idiotic that you cannot change the column width. Incredibly inconvenient doc browsing

@Guy Ray: Indeed, this is driving me nuts too. I can't stop noticing that they are displaying a tooltip to tell me that the check mark is, you won't believe, a "Check" :)), but I have to maximize the window to see the full filename ... (facepalm)(angry)

This is an immensely unproductive thing for me, since I have to deal with long lists of files whose names all have the same (long!) begginning.
