Teams/Sharepoint File organization/Syncing/Flexibility
For large account teams, we are using Teams sub-channels for specific Project discussion. The problem is we have MANY of these and each Teams channel dynamically creates a new Folder of that name in the Root team Documents Folder.
We do not want to organize our files the same way we organize our chats.
We would like to be able to move individual Project folders under a master "Projects" folder so the overall Sharepoint is easier to navigate. When we try this however, Teams does not save/remember that the folder has been moved and creates a new duplicative project folder in the root every single time any team member clicks the "Files" tab.
Seems the simplest way to fix would be to have Teams remember it was moved in Sharepoint and save files to the new location.
Many thanks in advance!
I encounter the same problem - that updates made using the "Open in SharePoint" link from TEAMS show up in SharePoint but do NOT sync with the corresponding TEAMS interface.
There must be something I am missing …?
File name changes should be possible and sync between the two
