Responding to emails through teams?
We have recently sent out a division wide email with changes being made due to a project I have been involved in. Within this email we placed a link to respond as a MS Teams Channel address, so that those working on this aspect would be the only contacts involved, whereas if we used the Office 365 email group this would have sent the email to more people than necessary. Unfortunately there is no way in MS Teams that I can see to reply from the Channel as an email. Will this be possible in the future?

This is quite a funny uservoice, actually -- how often does anyone need one-way-only email features? I would like to see a reply, which identifies the Team Member name AND the option for a only a Team Owner to be able to actually send the email reply. The current reply function should stay there to encourage relevant discussion, but again, Owner permissions would be wise here.

Would love to have this feature! There's no 'hot line' or persistent chat group in Teams like we used to in Skype. Always had to ask people to join to chat in a Teams chat group or create a new Teams channel. The mailboxes we have should be integrated to Teams so we can directly have a one to one response instead of publishing everyone's message on the chat.

We would very much like this feature.
We are really starting to gain momentum in the Teams usage.
But we definately need this feature -

We are using a Teams channel for email feedback about a project and it is a good way to receive, but responding to and tracking what's been responded would be much easier if you could respond via Teams and it sent the email to the original sender. To be clear, the original senders may not necessarily be a member of the Team/channel, so we can not just respond via regular Teams message.

same issue here. Seems this feature is more related to bot email notification than actual conversation-oriented activities

We have the same issue. Using a channel in Teams to collect all the feedback by emails seemed like a good idea, however we can't reply. The emails are saved as .eml files which Outlook can't open. Very frustrating.
