personal meeting room
I have been using gotomeeting and zoom for a while and both provide a "personal meeting room" link that I can put in my signature. I can tell anyone I need to meet with (internal or external) to click the link in my signature to meet now and they will get put into a lobby until I start up my meeting. I also get notified if someone is sitting in my lobby waiting to start a meeting. This would be the final feature we need to switch over to Teams.

This would help my university department significantly. We have a public appointment scheduling system, that sends email confirmations with the appointment details. A personal meeting room link could be used perfectly for this purpose. WebEx has this feature, and it was working well for us until our university switched to using Teams (we stayed with WebEx as long as we could, but now that students are familiar with Teams, we'd like to use Teams for consistency). We've looked in to Microsoft Bookings, but it's not customizable enough for our purposes.

It is really great to have a personal room option in Teams, not sure why MS is taking such a long time to implement this feature.

Webex has this, a meeting URL that's associated with my profile. It's very helpful for adhoc and spur of the moment meetings.

My company is wanting to move from WebEx to Microsoft Teams but this is a hugely used feature within WebEx that is not an option within Microsoft Teams. This is really something that needs to exist within Microsoft Teams since most other meeting services offer this very feature. Also, my company is well over the 100k user mark so we're no mom and pop shop.

Looks like this is planned but no update since last year...https://microsoftteams.uservoice.com/forums/555103-public/suggestions/35772907-implement-the-ability-to-assign-static-meeting-ids

This has GOT to be a duplicate, because I can't imagine only (at the time of my comment) 338 votes and 37 comments for something that Skype, Zoom, GotoMeeting, and so many others have had for ages.

How has this only gotten 332 votes in 3 years?? I'd vote for this 1000 times if I could!

Absolute must have feature! And the link to the meeting should look like times as shorter.
Just make it looking like https://teams.microsoft.com/meetup-join/<user_id>.
Security concern could be addressed by the meeting host who would allow or reject a guest waiting in the meeting lobby.

This feature would be incredibly useful to host virtual "office hours" at University.

As a user, I want to quickly launch a MS Teams meeting with one click. Currently, I need to schedule a calendar invite, add Teams to the invite, and then go into the invite to click Join. So frustrating.

This would be so helpful for educators who want to host drop-in virtual office hours but want to queue the students who show up.

Needed for us to switch over to Teams

This is the only thing standing in the way of us ditching zoom completely.

Agreed, this would make our work in higher ed much much easier. Teams is better than webex, but we can't fully switch yet b/c of this.

Agree, we need a personal meeting room with a waiting room functionality.

We really need this functionality to completely replace WebEx. Even Zoom has it. The workaround is ok for short periods of time and a few meetings set up at the same time, but way too cumbersome for long-term use. Please make personal rooms with a permanent URL a priority, thanks!
