personal meeting room
I have been using gotomeeting and zoom for a while and both provide a "personal meeting room" link that I can put in my signature. I can tell anyone I need to meet with (internal or external) to click the link in my signature to meet now and they will get put into a lobby until I start up my meeting. I also get notified if someone is sitting in my lobby waiting to start a meeting. This would be the final feature we need to switch over to Teams.
Agreed - this is a MUCH NEEDED AND VALUABLE feature for Microsoft to deliver :)

Something like this sounds great and very useful, but also having our own room is ideal for remote workers. The ability replicate the scenario where at work in person you would walk over to them and ask a quick question. By having a Teams room that the remote worker is on, anyone can just join the Teams room and say hi, collaborate, or ask a quick question - for something that people don't want to call someone for.
Strongly agree with this. We need something equivalent to Webex Personal Room in Microsoft Teams, which is basically a static link to a perpetual room that you can share with anyone that you want to talk to at a moment's notice. Much more convenient than actually having to schedule a meeting and easy to share through email and other methods.

I can't believe that this isn't a standard feature yet. It was missing in Skype and now it's missing in Teams. It is an absolute must and the workaround of scheduling a meeting far into the future and just using that link is a cludgey mess. Just add the feature already.

This is such a used feature and another feature that would allow us to fully replace Webex. Better handling of changing from Web to Desktop mode to allow external users to share and allow remote control of their screen is another.

This is the reason we still have Zoom as our primary ... unfortunately.

We also need it to move from GTM!

A meeting URL will be a great help for the daily work.
A persistent meeting URL as in the WebEx Personal Room is an excellent and needed idea.
I will add to this that "Instant Meeting via Link" is a hard requirement. As a user of WebEx, I have a 'Personal Meeting Room', and a static link assigned to me, which I can send out via e-mail, IM, etc. Frequently I'm talking on the phone with multiple companies and need to initiate an ad hoc meeting at LIGHTNING SPEED. (And no, we're not already on a scheduled conference call with a WebEx set up.) Being able to send everyone a static link and instantly create a meeting is crucial. Right now, it's too many clicks to get that done in Teams. Don't make me think that much. Just gimme the link. Thanks guys!
Have you tried scheduling a meeting and just copying that link and then just reusing that one over and over? Maybe you need to schedule it for a long time (to get it out of the way you could put it in an extra calendar).
