Provide accent insensitive name suggestion
When you type a message, you can use the @ character to notify someone. Names are suggested while you are typing (which is cool)
However, the name lookup is accent sensitive. This leads to miss suggestion.
For example, in France, the first name Sébastien is very common. If I type @Sé matching user is suggested. if I type @Se, matching user is not suggested.
If would be nice if these names match, whether accent are typed or not
This is indeed very annoying, and has still hasn't been fixed since 3 years.
This software is probably developed by English-native people :)
And it's even more annoying that it works in the main search bar (searching for `se` returns `Sébastien`).

This is ridiculous - it is accent sensitive for French accents (such as with Stéphane) but is accent insensitive for German accents (such as Joël). Please fix this as it is a major pain for international workers. Why has this not been addressed since it was reported in 2017?
Yes, so annoying that the main search bar is accent sensitive. When looking for a person whose name has an accent you have 50% chance no to find her.

This also affects the Search field. Such a stupidly easy thing to fix and would make a big impact for all latin language users.
Exact same case with exact same name :) would be easy to fix...
