Add a Print feature to the PDF file viewer
Currently when you click on a PDF within teams it displays it in teams' built-in PDF viewer - but there is no option to print from here.
To print you either have to download the file and open it in an external PDF viewer application or click 'open online' and print it from your browser. (or open the sharepoint in file explorer...)
It would be great if a 'Print' button could instead be added to the PDF file viewer taskbar (see attached artists' rendition). Printing a PDF is a staple everyday task performed by countless people around the world.

This is nuts. I have been looking around for ten minutes and finally landed on this community to learn there is no print function for PDFs in Teams.

Crazy that you cannot print from the Team app!

1 & 1/2 years this feed started and no results. Truly ridiculous it's this old of a complaint and still no print feature. Even to print a document in Word has to be downloaded first.

Yes, same as almost all the comments. How can you not be able to print PDF in Teams; such a basic table-stake function.

This should be pretty basic - especially when you are trying to involve older team member that might not be used to the format. Not being able to do something as simple as print is a barrier to adaptation.

PDF is a critical global format that Teams should fully natively support, including choices to open files in any PDF viewer app of your choice (Adobe or other), and should have one-click print support. MS should wholly embrace PDF format...you wouldn't want the Apple fans to be able to criticize that they have better native support, would you?

https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/using/access-sharepoint-files.html another workaround is to add your Teams library in Adobe Acrobat (Reader) and open and print like that….

We have added the SharePoint document library as a tab in the Teams site and we therefore have a Print button when we open a PDF but it doesn't work! It just shoots us out to the Store to find an app to open an "about" file - very strange. There is also an option to Open in a webbrowser which would be great except when you click on that its does the same thing - shoots you out to the Windows Store to find an app! V. frustrating! So at the moment the workaround is to sync in file explorer with the Teams library and open directly there in your standard PDF app

I agree to the open in reader option would even be a plus. You can do an open online which is ok - but most people aren't going to know to do that. The other issue is when it opens within Teams - if there are URLs within the PDF they are not clickable. The only way is to select the open online option - which again people aren't going to do.

Even an "Open in PDF viewer" similar to "Edit in Word" would work.

This is a pretty much a 'must have' feature for our company as we frequently print PDFs.
