Allow multiple profile instances of desktop version of Teams
I would love the ability to have more than one instance of the Teams desktop application running so that I can easily jump between information located in different places in Teams. As an example, today I can run multiple instances of Outlook allowing me to click on one instance to view emails and a second instance to view the calendar. This allows me to easily to windowed side-by-side comparisons and not "lose my place" from where I was looking at before if I want to look somewhere else in the application.

I find the ability to anchor a web-browser version of teams as a second teams app quite useful, especially as it can be in a different tenant, but the in-call functionality is inferior - only allowing either desktop or camera video, not both together. Please can you release an upgrade that allows multiple profile instances of the desktop version to overcome this.

Please add this feature. We are using Teams so very much and having to fully navigate between chats and various Teams is a HUGE time waster. It would be so helpful to have several Teams windows, even if each window had to be restricted to one Team.
This requirement is heavily underestimated. But it shouldn't only be possible to run an other instance, you shoudl be able to take e.g. you chat app and pull it out and let it run as other instance. Like in Outlook, "open in new window"

We are trying to primarily use Teams to get our work done - for file sharing, for chats, for meetings, editing files, etc.
**Being restricted to one instance of the app running and open at a time is a huge time waster!**
I cannot image being restricted to one instance of Word or Excel or Outlook (mail/calendar/tasks). Sometimes I have work being done on several different channels at the same time and I do not have the luxury to do everything in order, one item at a time but frequently go back and forth between conversations which is highly inefficient with the current restrictions. Teams is making me less efficient - it requires that I keep a notepad of the work I'm doing so I don't forget to navigate back to what I was doing because I can't open another window to retain it.

Yes please to this functionality.
For example when an excel file begins to load, it takes over the screen and I lose time.

This must be so simple. Having multiple instances of a program running has been possible since Windows 3.0. I am a little bit worried about the underlying architecture of Teams when I hear that this is a limitation. Something must be very wrong.

This will be very useful
This would be a really useful functionality!
I need to access two tenants: the first is a business tenant and the second an educational tenant. This second tenant is used by a corporate university. So, how do I have to do today? I open the browser in one tenant and the Teams desktop application in another tenant. This is not good as the Web Version of Teams has severe limitations in relation to the Desktop Version.
Would be nice if can use an instance of teams for each desktop in Multiple desktops in Windows 10.
I would love this ability as either separate instances of Teams or as tabs within a single instance. I have access to Teams from 2 difference organisations as well as guest access to various MSFT TAP programs via both orgs and it is not very convenient having to logout of one org to get guest access to a TAP TEAM via the other org.
really nice method of packaging the app in a chromium application.

Yes please! This is especially needed when pasting links from various apps to each other.

Definitely. This very thing would help me with working simultaneously on multiple Organisations' teams sites.
Seems kind of a no-brainer.

Would love this feature, especially with being a member of multiple Teams as a guest.

Absolutely is required.

This functionality is absolutely needed, I agree.
We've been trying to use TEAMS, but not being able to have more than one open is a deal breaker. In OneNote, i will have at least two open to be able to compare and it is also easier to move information from one location to a different location in OneNotes. Need this functionality in Teams!
Also, once we tried using the conference capability, it really shows how bad it is that you can only have one open at a time. Somebody will be sharing and you want to navigate away to look up information in Teams and have to jump back and forth between the conference and the info elsewhere in Teams. :-(
These are really two must have feature for Teams adoption in enterprise world :
- Do multiple things at a time ( N x Chat + N x File + 1 x Audio/Video )
- Transparent ( or easy ) switch from one tenant to another
