Video screen size when sharing screen
When video chatting and sharing your screen, the video window is very small and you can't resize it.
When you are in an active meeting and have video and screen sharing enable:
1. Able to resize video preview
2. Able to use multiple monitors with video on one and screen share on the other.
3. Able to move the video around the screen freely.
4. Overlay video on full screen screenshare.
5. Able to freely resize your split screen with video and screenshare.
Thank you for your continued feedback, we have not forgotten about this ask. We have a feature on the backlog for popping out content, so you will be able to see one screen with the video gallery and one screen with the shared content. We will share an update as soon as one is available.
For the separate feature ask for full screen option, please upvote and comment at https://microsoftteams.uservoice.com/forums/555103/suggestions/41277121
For split screen camera and desktop, please upvote and comment at https://microsoftteams.uservoice.com/forums/555103/suggestions/37118773
I use this on Zoom every day. So frustrating that Microsoft lags behind on important features.

The latest UI update sent this SO FAR in the wrong direction. Now you can no longer toggle back to the full video view nor can you see more than 8 people's video at once.
Please make this usable for our users before they bail to Zoom.
the only alternative would be to switch to ZOOM where you have all the flexibility to set up the call to your needs....
It baffles me why Teams has such a clunky basic interface. It does not use windows features that are freely available in other applications; such as the ability to undock presentation screen with the main screen - that would be so useful! I vote for this very overdue feature in Teams

This is something beyond helpful/useful. It is nearly a necessity at times when in larger meetings.

Here is a workaround:
Join the meeting again from web. I'm pretty sure this might be possible. Today I use only the web version because I have been having resource issues with the desktop one. But I know you can keep both open at the same time. You may be able to attend to the same meeting on both and choose what to see on each one.
Of course, this shouldn't become the official solution. They definitely need to add this natively, but this could help people like the Anonymous user below who can't rely on audio to understand what people is saying in the meantime.

I'd love to see the possibility to work with teams sites in one screen and have your chats (not just the one running chat that you can pop out) in the other screen.
I have to constantly switch out of teams sites when chat or call is necessary and then switch back to teams sites. As this happens very frequently it is actually becoming quite disruptive.

pop out shared screen is in the essential category for me

Related User Voice specifically for popping out Chat for Meeting in separate window.

This worked even in Skype for Business. I cannot understand why this feature is not implemented in teams. In Sykpe you can easily get a separate window with the video feeds (and even tweak that from gallery view to speaker's view). This is really a step back compared to Skype. It must be possible to have different windows for speaker view and shared content view.

GoToWebinar has this ability and it is seamless! Hopefully MS integrates this into Teams Meetings.

I came up with a workaround for fullscreen recently:
When you get to a meeting, instead of using the desktop app, use the web app in a browser that allows you to detach video from the page in a new window (or has an extension that does that). In my case, I do it with Yandex Browser. It is a Chromium based browser forked from Opera. I'm not sure if Opera also has that, but it is possible.
Here are some screenshots of how it works. It is fully resizable and movable as well

Content is often optimized for a full screen display, but there (currently) is no way to pop out the shared content to its own full screen display. Many users have multiple monitors now - let us USE them!

Yes, in Education this is particularly challenging and driving people to Zoom.
When a participant shared a presentation, I could always choose to still see participant's videos (and open the presentation in a separate app on my large monitor). That allowed me to focus on the presenter instead of the presentation. With the latest update I no longer have that choice, but the presentation remains large front and center, with small participant videos and no option to resize or focus them. I would appreciate something like what Zoom offers: a side by side of presentation and participant videos with control over the proportional sizes.
With all the good things happening around Teams, I think this is a MUST have feature. Its urgent!
Microsoft, please prioritize this.
WORKAROUND for those interested:
Screen 1 : Join your meeting from the desktop application, fullscreen and focus the presentation
Screen 2 : Open teams web application and join the same meeting from there (without sound/mic/video), and focus on presenters video
It's wonky and manual, and probably not a solution that works for non-IT-savvy end-users, but it's what we got til this is fixed ^^'
I used to use two devices when I shared my screen. I mean:
1st device for the screen sharing
2nd device for checking videos of participants
However, after the update recently, the shared screen of the 1st device is shown too big on the 2nd device and I can't check the videos of participants on the 2nd device anymore.
It's really a bad update. I could make the videos of participants bigger on the 2nd device and check their reactions before this update, but now the shared screen of the 1st device is fixed in the middle of the 2nd device and the videos of participants are shown soo small.
Please put it back like before....it's so annoying to use ms-teams now.
