Alerts in guest tenants
When you've been given access to a team as a guest there is currently no way to be alerted. All the little red notification only appear when you visit the guest team's tenant within Microsoft Teams. A notification on the account in "Your Accounts" would probably work.

Please enable Notifications/alerts function when guests are added to Teams Channels, this would be very useful for our Tenant.

Please enable notifications for guests. This would be very useful in our school environment since we collaborate with various schools in our region

We use teams to collaborate with customers. Its fine for scheduled meetings, or if we call to get them to check the guest Teams. Teams really needs a notification for guests.

Notification to Guest in his Home tenant is behaving inconsistently.
On browser it is faster as compared to Teams application.
Also if if Guest has switched to home tenant , it continues to show the Guest Online and notification to guest in his home tenant does not go at all.Resulting in missing of important calls, chats by the guest

Having to change tenants to use the features of Teams is the primary reason we have been slow to deploy to our clients. They are not going to think to switch to our tenant to check to see if there is anything worth looking at -- they need to be proactively notified to look (and the little number above the tenant switch is not it). They need to get a banner that says a message has come in, or an @mention is there -- or there is other activity in a channel they are following. Without this, the collaboration promise falls way short.

I don't understand how this isn't even remotely done. I can't get notified at all when I'm a guest in someone elses tenant. This is the world of a single identity, not multiple identities.

I dont understand how Slack can handle this so well and we are multiple years into Teams and guest access as a whole is terrible and useless.

In addition to getting alerts, it would be nice not having to switch between tenants.

I have same problem. If we can not be aware of all the notification across all the joined tenant including as a guest, we must miss the necessary action for our work.

There are some basics for effective communication and collaboration. This is one of them. I'm really surprised this and some other lacking features are not prioritised as it's things essential to what the tool is meant to be!
My company has several tenants, which makes it a nightmare with my colleagues without this feature.
It's quite simple - I cannot rely on Teams as communication tool. I miss things, other people miss my posts/messages - it forces me to email and other channels (including Slack btw)
Mega frustrating.

The windows desktop app is not showing a red dot/notification of notification of message waiting in another tenant view (e.g. guest access elsewhere). The browser seems to show the red notification dot, but not the desktop app. This is a critical flaw and needs to be fixed. Otherwise you are depending on email notifications and though you eventually find out, it loses the "instant" in instant messaging!!!
