Would like to be able to search within a chat and across chats easily. Searching within a chat is not possible and searching across chats is

Add a search box into each channel so i can search all conversations within that channel only including all history of the channel.

Old Skype used to let you search conversations, sometimes I have a project group chat I have not checked for a day or so and they could be several hundred entries, I search for my name to see where I am mentioned.

Ideally there'd be a way to search / find / filter directly in conversation pane. The search on the upper left of chat just shows me conversations where it appears but I want to navigate and highlight each occurrence of a search string within a conversation thread - particularly long ones with long comments where my name is mentioned.
I think a function like this should also include the possibility to search for or jump to a specific time or date.

HipChat has a great keyboard shortcut to search for rooms or people CTRL-J

Yes. The filter is pretty decent by filtering by team and doc type, but needs one more filter to filter by channel as well.
The results are also seemingly in random order. WOuld be nice to sort by date or file name.
