Search Functionality is not working as expected
Search functionality is not working. I was trying to find a conversation related to a word "FNTS" in one of our channel and the search yielded no result. We manually could scroll and find references to it, but the search showed zero results. This prompted us to probe more and we searched using a few more words and at times it gave some results but not all. This seems to be really buggy.. Is this something that you are trying to fix? I have championed the move from SLACK to TEAMS and am getting a lot of grief from some folks who really depend on tools like this. It will be nice if you could respond to this, and let us know if this is getting fixed.

Searching in general is something that should be improved in Teams. Not only searching for words within chats or channel but also searching for documents and even folders that are not available and should be, as it would help if you didn't have to browse to a channel to locate a sharepoint folder associated with the channel.

So frustrating! Not at all helpful to find the word and not be able to access context/messages before and after. Why even bother having a search?

I just spent 20 minutes trying to find a message containing the word "impact". Teams found plenty of results, just not the one I wanted. Searching for other words in the same message was hit and miss. Depending on the word searched for, sometimes it found that message, sometimes it didn't. Perhaps the worst of all worlds!

I've never relied on Teams' search. It's easily verifiable that the results are horribly incomplete. It would be really nice if it would be, though. Scrolling through endless messages in multiple channels to find a reference to something is a royal pain and an enormous waste of time.

Search works for me but shows only the message, not the context of the conversation, which is useless. Fix this, Microsoft!

Notice... crickets.... MS making boat loads of money on half-baked products.

This is the problem with auto-updated **** - it takes stuff that WAS working and makes it to where it doesn't work anymore - and you have no choice but to accept it. Where's the regression testing over at MS?

I normally use the search bar to locate the end user I want to chat with. When I type in the name, I receive choices, but when I click on the name, the search results go away, and I am back to the same screen as before. The only way I can "search" for and chat with another employee is to click on the "new message" button and choose their name from there.

When I search for something, I get results from chats but I get nothing from posts within channels. That's crazy! That needs to get fixed right away!

I have the same problem. I need to verify if the students answered the questions and when I search, no results come but if I do manually, I can see the posts.

I have the same problem, can't search in one team. Not in Teams, not in the Team-site in Sharepoint. Please fix this problem.
