Search Functionality is not working as expected
Search functionality is not working. I was trying to find a conversation related to a word "FNTS" in one of our channel and the search yielded no result. We manually could scroll and find references to it, but the search showed zero results. This prompted us to probe more and we searched using a few more words and at times it gave some results but not all. This seems to be really buggy.. Is this something that you are trying to fix? I have championed the move from SLACK to TEAMS and am getting a lot of grief from some folks who really depend on tools like this. It will be nice if you could respond to this, and let us know if this is getting fixed.

FIX NOW PLEASE !!! I CANT EVEN SEARCH ACOUNTS WITH THE NUMBERS AND THAT IS 95% OF THE JOB
I normally use the search bar to locate the end user I want to chat with. When I type in the name, I receive choices, but when I click on the name, the search results go away, and I am back to the same screen as before. The only way I can "search" for and chat with another employee is to click on the "new message" button and choose their name from there.
When I search for something, I get results from chats but I get nothing from posts within channels. That's crazy! That needs to get fixed right away!
I have the same issue today - has worked fine in the past but now I can not search some teams it is making it very difficult for our team to find what they need.
Same issue here. Works on mobile but not on the desktop!

Had this very same issue today, search not returning any results on group chat but it was working fine two days ago.

I have the same problem. I need to verify if the students answered the questions and when I search, no results come but if I do manually, I can see the posts.

I can search for the keyword on my Teams client and got result, but my colleague can not. He has the latest Teams client and Owner access.
I have the same problem, can't search in one team. Not in Teams, not in the Team-site in Sharepoint. Please fix this problem.
This feature is SO key to selling teachers on "buy in" because they get so overwhelmed with all the information they stop using it. I was using it some time ago and it worked, but now, it only pulls up information from within chats between myself and others.
I can create an announcement in the Posts for my faculties to get the necessary information and when I go back to search the key word in my Announcement Title, that post never gets pulled up.
Teachers are using TEAMS now, more so than before because of remote learning. If it would work as it says it should, we would get more people on board with using TEAMS.
You all have been amazing to listen to what teachers need or want in educational technology, I hopeful that this will be fixed soon.

This is still a major problem. My colleague posted a message with the word "rackspace" in it THIS MORNING, and searching for the word "rackspace" yields no results. HOW? It's right there! I can see it with my own eyes. Please fix this.
I am seeing the same behaviour. No results for messages or files within a channel. It's making it almost unusable as a replacement for e-mail communication if we can't find things later.
Teams is not useful with search not working.

Microsoft please focus on this request as it is critical for our Company to be able to search for keywords.
I'm currently introducing Teams to my organization. I'm experiencing the same issue. It's difficult to teach people and get them excited when this function is clearly not working. Very troublesome.
What Operating system is everyone running? I'm having the issue with Windows 10 but those on an older version have no problem.
I agree - this used to work fine, but has stopped working on the desktop version, though fine on the phone app. It makes using teams much less attractive.
Same issue. This thread has been opened for two years..

Could this be moved to the Search category:
I don't see a corresponding post in that category for this bug.
