Allow opening of PDF documents directly into Adobe Reader DC for Editing docuemnts stored in SharePoint
Adobe Reader DC can Check-Out and Edit documents directly from SharePoint, but there's no way to initiate this from Teams. Instead you need to go to SharePoint, copy the link, and then open Reader DC, File, Open, and paste the link. This is cumbersome and time consuming for users who frequently edit PDF documents which are stored in Teams (SharePoint).
We would like a one-click to open in Reader DC from within Teams and an option to make this the default single-click behaviour.
Hopefully Microsoft's recent partnership with Adobe will help this one along.

need to be able to add comments in PDFs
I get the error message below in Teams and One Drive and SharePoint when I try to open a PDF document. I have Acrobat Pro installed on my desktop.
"Please wait... If this message is not eventually replaced by the proper contents of the document, your PDF viewer may not be able to display this type of document. You can upgrade to the latest version of Adobe Reader for Windows®, Mac, or Linux® by visiting http://www.adobe.com/go/reader_download."
Please allow us to edit PDF documents in Teams and One Drive.
3 years :(
Finally I found this one - there are a couple of duplicate user voices for this feature.
Would be great to see this happening - lot of people in my company are waiting for this...
That would be a very beneficial feature!
I agree - the comments features in Adobe is far superior as it can show the exact location- Just need to have option to open file in Adobe.
When will you do this guys???
As most of us work from home due to covid, we cannot utilize/depend on the office internet speeds.
It take a long time to download a 250MB pdf file, put in comments and then upload it back to SharePoint.
You need to listen to your customers!!!

If you are going to have competing product fine. But most businesses have an investment and stake in Microsoft and Adobe at this point. we need your systems to work together.
Acrobat is NOT a nice-to-have but an essential feature that needs to be supported.
Please we need it
This is needed ASAP!!!

We just implemented TEAMS and imagine the shock discovering TEAMS doesn't support Adobe DC form filling! This is definately a huge minus

MS is preventing millions of users from migrating online, by not having this essential feature.
We have a showstopper fully implemeting Teams as long as there is no Adobe (either reader and pro) App
This is now an essential function with so many pdf files being circulated and which require subsequent editing. Please provide this functionality.
Please add this function. Working with PDFs in SharePoint is a tremendous pain. At this point any Office 365 SharePoint is useless other than a PDF document repository. You have to download the file onto a hard drive, edit, then remember to replace the previous version in SharePoint.
Allow users to open PDFs stored on SharePoint in adobe client please!
