Allow opening of PDF documents directly into Adobe Reader DC for Editing docuemnts stored in SharePoint
Adobe Reader DC can Check-Out and Edit documents directly from SharePoint, but there's no way to initiate this from Teams. Instead you need to go to SharePoint, copy the link, and then open Reader DC, File, Open, and paste the link. This is cumbersome and time consuming for users who frequently edit PDF documents which are stored in Teams (SharePoint).
We would like a one-click to open in Reader DC from within Teams and an option to make this the default single-click behaviour.
Hopefully Microsoft's recent partnership with Adobe will help this one along.

This has been requested multiple times from my company users.

This is such an easy add. Get past the pride and collaborate with Adobe and watch Teams success soar.
Otherwise the frustration will lead this as just a skype without or without video and sharing files. Make it a real tool for business Microsoft.
This is what we need.

Agreed, need this functionality
must have feature and need it as soon as possible.
Agreed, we need this for our customers.
I got a response after submitting a Feature Request, which directed me to vote on this existing feature request. Essentially, we need more votes on this to make it happen :)

has anyone seen a response fromTeams staff about doing this?

agreed, we use PDFs to communicate with consultants all the time
I definitely agree with other users. i want to put pdf documents in our teams app, but these pdfs are constantly being edited and documents added. It makes the whole process a lot more cumbersome.

Give us the option to open this in the system default pdf editor, please.

Yeah, this need to be done as a primary form. By this feature, we can edit the documents in groups and save time. Here is another website which I think you should visit it for the reference.

This definitely needs adding, it will bring people one step closer to people mostly just in Teams
